Recently, Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp spend lavishly on Indian food to celebrate his win over ex-wife Amber Heard. He spared no expense and splurged out nearly $60k to have an intimate dinner with his closest friends in a restaurant.
As per the reports of TMZ, Johnny and his group of friends went to Varanasi on Sunday night to have dinner. For those of you who are unaware, let us tell you Varanasi is a restaurant in Birmingham, England.
Depp and his pals did a lot more than order a few drinks. The joint’s Operations Director Mohammed Hussain told the media outlet, that Johnny’s bill was somewhat about 50,000 British pounds, or about $60k.
It is said that Johnny was joined by his friend Jeff Beck and 20 other friends for the night and the place was shut down to the public so they all could dine in peace. Mohammed went on to say that he was shocked to see Johnny at his place and stated that the actor was a humble guy and the two of them even talked for a bit in his private office.
When did the final verdict of Johnny and Amber’s case come out?
The final verdict of Johnny and Heard’s case was given out by the seven jury members that consisted of five men and two women on June 1, Wednesday. The decision was announced after nearly 13 hours of deliberation spread over three days at the district court in Fairfax, Virginia.
As Johnny won the defamation case, the jury awarded him a total of $15m (£12m) in damages. On the other hand, when we talk about Amber, she was also awarded nearly $2m (£1.6m) for one part of her own counterclaim, which said that Depp’s lawyer had called her abuse allegations against her ex-husband a hoax.

The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star took to his Instagram to share his thoughts with his fans all over the world after winning the defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.
Johnny wrote, “I am, and have been, overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and the colossal support and kindness from around the world. I hope that my quest to have the truth be told will have helped others, men or women, who have found themselves in my situation, and that those supporting them never give up.”
Depp concluded the statement by saying, “The best is yet to come and a new chapter has finally begun. Truth never perishes.”
