However, after a dark revelation, one is forced to reconsider if the “Pirates Of The Caribbean” star is truly an honourable man or not. A leaked document of the court has shocked fans after it revealed that the 59-year-old actor let the rapist of his then-minor daughter walk away freely.
It has come out via an unsealed leaked court document that Johnny Depp refused the investigation of the statutory rape of his daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, the same person who was standing by his father during the six-week-long trial against Amber.
What’s In The Court Document?
Johnny Depp, who came out victorious in his six-week-long defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, is hit by another controversy, and this time its as dark as it gets. A leaked, unsigned court document reveals that Johnny Depp, 59 refused to investigate his then-minor daughter Lily Rose Depp, and is being ousted for letting a statutory rapist walk freely.
In a conversation between, Kump and Mr Feedman, in a deposition, the rapist (referred to therein as “he”), was being investigated by the Department of Family Services and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). While the allegations weren’t mentioned specifically, it came out that Lily’s then-boyfriend was living next to her in one of her condos downtown. She was 15 years old at that time.
It was asked, “To your knowledge, did Mr Depp make any false statements to authorities who were investigating either his conduct or anything involving his family”. The answer was, “Yes”. He was then asked, “And what does that relates to.” He responded, “Yes”.
The next question was, “What is your knowledge based upon? The answer was, “He met with both the LAPD and the Department of Family Services, and no charges were filed, and I asked him afterwards. I said, well, ‘you couldn’t have told them the truth’. And he just smiled.”
Another question was, “Do you know, whether or not, in connection with those investigations, Mr Depp pressurised any of his employees or people who worked for him to make false statements to the authorities?” The answer was, “I don’t know.”
Rape Not Specifically Mentioned…
One of the questions in this deposition, states: “Was somebody claiming that there might be a charge of statutory rape involved in this case, do you know?” The answer was, “No, I don’t know.” Well, this particular conversation does not specify a charge of statutory rape, and the document is also unsealed. For now, this document remains vague until someone comes up to clarify its context of it.
But yes, one thing is sure, Johnny did stop authorities from pursuing Lily’s case. We don’t know yet, to what extent. Lily Rose, on the other hand, had constantly stood beside her dad during Johnny’s defamation trial against Amber Heard. Lily Rose, 23 is the daughter of Johnny and Vanessa Paradis.
Previously, she wrote about him: “My dad is the sweetest, most loving person I know. He’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and me, and everyone who knows him would say the same.” Depp, however, hasn’t come up with any explanation regarding this controversy.
