Joe Exotic, also known as “The Tiger King”, is all about “Looking for love in the wrong places” as his wedding plans have gone for a toss with his prison fiancé. Even though Joe has referred to numerous partners as his husbands despite them not being legally married, this one seemed rather special.
Graham Has Moved On, and So Did Joe…
Joe Exotic who is serving a 21-year sentence for strategizing a murder plot against Carole Baskin, calls it quits with his fiancé and fellow inmate John Graham. Joe’s divorce attorney Autumn Blackledge revealed that Joe believed he’d called in love with John Graham but ever since Graham got released from federal prison in Texas, he’s moved on and ended things with Joe.
Joe Exotic, who is also a former chief of police, revealed that he found love in all the wrong places but has all good things to speak about his ex. Not only this, he will continue to share a close relationship with John’s son and some members of his family.
Joe’s Heart Is Healing Quickly…
Prison plot twist! Joe seems to be sparking a romance with another inmate. Joe filed for divorce from Dillon Passage in March, just because of the love he shared with John. However, the two were estranged for more than a year before Exotic filed divorce papers from jail.
Joe Exotic divorce seems to be making slow but steady progress so we are sure that this new mystery man is someone else. Sources reveal that a “very special man” came back into his life recently, someone picking up where they left off before. The name has not yet been revealed.
A Bit More About Joe…
Except for animals, Joe is also known as an aspiring country musician. He appeared in several documentaries like America’s Most Dangerous Pets (2011), The Life Exotic: Or the Incredible True Story of Joe Schreibvoge (2016) and Netflix’s Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness (2020), which narrates his rivalry with Carole Baskin.
Not only this but his interviews were also featured four months before his arrest in Discovery’s “Surviving Joe Exotic”. In 2021, Louis Theroux released another documentary on Exotic, named “Shooting Joe Exotic”.
The Netlflix’s Tiger King: Murder Mayhem and Madness star has been an eccentric personality and has been subject to substantial criticism, concerning his controversies surrounding his feud with Baskin and treatment of animals at the G.W. Zoo.
Joe was convicted in 2019 and sentenced to prison on 17 federal charges of animal abuse and two counts of attempted murder for hire for the plot to kill Big Cat Rescue founder Carole Baskin. Earlier this year, Joe’s sentence was reduced by 1 year.
FYI, Joe’s first partner, Brian Rhyne, died of complications from HIV in 2001. Since then, Joe has been in relationships with several men. Last year, Exotic announced a contest “The Bachelor King” wherein men could fill out applications online to become Joe’s husband. Well, the current one is gone.
