Seems like this year is all about comedians. Since the Will Smith’s Oscar incident, comedians are finding themselves in a lot of trouble for cracking jokes. This is what happened with the Jimmy Kimmel Live host.
Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene has filed a police complaint against Jimmy Kimmel, and you won’t believe why! The late-night host cracked a joke on Majorie Taylor about Will Smith slapping the Georgia Republican. Read on to know the full details.
Where is Will? says Kimmel

In a light mood, like the 54-year-old comic always is, Kimmel was discussing the controversy related to Greene’s previous comments wherein the Republicans accused GOP senators Susan Collins, Mitt Romney and Lisa Murkowski of being pro-paedophiles just because they announced that they were going to vote to confirm Ketanji to the Supreme Court.
Now, what Green commented calls for a real police complaint, ey? Jimmy also called her a “Klan mom” before referring to her “pro paedophile” tweet. if you remember, in my previous article about Ketanji’s nomination, I did explain how Ketanji was accused and grilled by the Republicans for giving lenient sentences to the child sex offender. Well, this statement was in the same regard.
In his closing statement, Jimmy said, “Wow, where is Will Smith when you need him?” Interestingly, Greene called Will Smith an alpha male for slapping Chris Rock. Nevertheless, seems like she could not take this joke and made a police complaint against Kimmel for the threat of violence.
I never watch the Oscars but I’ve seen the Will Smith/Chris Rock clip a million times this morning.
I have to say I appreciate the Alpha male response of a husband defending his wife.
It was settled and then no more drama.
Chris Rock handled it like a man with no whining.

Kimmel also called Greene a “Klan mom” before referring to her “pro paedophile” tweet, which is based on disputed claims that Jackson gives lenient sentences to child sex offenders.
The Georgia Republican shared this clip on Twitter and wrote, “ABC, this threat of violence against me by Jimmy Kimmel has been filed with the Capitol Police.” Well, it seems like America isn’t that free when it comes to freedom of speech.
Even though there has been no statement from the Capitol office, the Republicans’ office released a statement wherein her office said that it “takes all threats of violence towards the Congresswoman very seriously. Last night, Jimmy Kimmel called for violence to be committed against Congresswoman Greene. It will not be tolerated.” Now, that’s absurd.
Kimmel laughs it off

Jimmy Kimmel couldn’t do better. He laughed off the police complaint filed by Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene. Not only this, he recently tweeted: “Officer? I would like to report a Joke.” Many comedians and fans took to social sites to support the comic.
Political commentator and podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen stated: “Marjorie Taylor Greene, who voted against awarding Capitol Police with congressional gold medals, is now asking for help from Capitol Police because Jimmy Kimmel made a joke about her. Cannot make this up.”

Dean Obeidallah, a lawyer turned stand-up comedian, tweeted: “This is classic false police report by Greene. She MUST be criminally prosecuted for filing a false police report over an obvious joke. Greene like Trump wants to SILENCE comedians who mock them!”
This one is my favourite. Danny Zuker, the producer on ABC’s sitcom Modern Family, wrote: “I think Greene might have better luck with the Moscow Police.” Phew, makes sense too. Others went on to mock Greene for promoting an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory about the 2018 California wildfires.
Do you think it is justified to call on the police for such light jokes? Well, if that’s the case then everyone should be in jail Shoot your thoughts about what happened with Kimmel, if you’re a Republican supporter by any chance, I am looking forward to your thoughts even more.
