Bam Margera’s wife, Nicole ‘Nikki’ Boyd wants a divorce from her husband! The “Jacksass” alum’s Valentine’s Day wasn’t all happy as his ex-wife filed for legal separation on the day of love. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the couple’s separation, listing the breakup date as Sept. 14, 2021.
What Is Nicole Seeking From Bam Margera?
“Jackass” alum Bam Margera’s wife, Nicole “Nikki” Boyd filed for legal separation on Tuesday (Feb. 14). Recently obtained court papers suggest that she has cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for this step, listing their breakup date as Sept. 14, 2021. The court papers also reveal that she is requesting legal and physical custody of their son Phoneix.
However, Boyd has asked to provide Margera with visitation rights in the LA County region. Nikki also requested for spousal support and expects Margera to cover the attorney’s fees. Her attorney, David Glass further explained the reasons for the lawsuit:
“Nikki Margera felt compelled to file for legal separation from her husband, Bam Margera, due to his continuing drug and alcohol abuse, erratic behaviour, and due to his failure to provide support for her and their son. Nikki has put everything she has into trying to get Bam to stay sober and to try to preserve her family.”
From Being In Love To Falling Apart…
Bam and Nikki have been married for a decade. The couple tied the knot in October 2013. For Bam, it was his second marriage as he was previously married to Missy Rothstein from 2007 to 2012. Despite a decade-old marriage, Bam’s drug and alcohol abuse became a major reason for the couple’s fallout. From a series of legal issues, and arrests to constant rehab visits, Margera has been a troubled man.
During his rehab tenure last year, Boyd shared about her husband, “We love Bam, both as a husband and father. We pray that he will give it all he has this time at this new rehab facility, so he can complete his treatment and come home to the family that loves him.” But then, Nikki filed for custody of her child in September 2021 but didn’t file for divorce.
