The 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards is just around the corner and will honor the biggest TV series and performances that caught our hearts. 

Due to covid-19 the 2020 Emmy presented by talk show host Jimmy Kimmel featured a very limited audience and was aired virtually. But history hasn’t repeated itself and the 2021 Emmy Awards will be held in person featuring very few nominees and their guests.

When’s the magic hour?

The 2021 Emmy award will stream live on the eve of Sept 19 from 8 pm onwards on Paramount Plus and CBS in the US.

Who’s the Host?

The 73rd Emmy awards will be hosted by 57-year-old actor and comedian Cedric the Entertainer, who vows to add some extra humor and entertainment to the table. 

“It’s not bad if you’re the news for a couple of days, but you don’t want to be the guy that ruins the night or someone’s moment,” Cedric opened up in a recent interview. “At the same time, you’ve got to be yourself.”

How to Watch 73rd Annual Emmy Award Streamng?

The audience can directly stream the event sitting on their favorite couch with the bowl of delicious butter popcorn through their Hulu subscriptions. Other options include AT&T TV  with an average monthly subscription cost of $69.99 and Live TV with a membership cost of $64.99. 

You can also stream the event live on YouTube TV with a monthly cost of just  $64.99, including CBS.

Viewers can join forces to enjoy the free seven-day trials offered by any of the three streaming sites with the option of revoking it anytime. In addition to that, FuboTV provides its viewers with a subscription to CBS. with FuboTV you can record the telecast to stream it later.

How to stream the event in India?

For Emmy lovers in India, you can tune in to  Lionsgate Play to stream the event live. The scheduled time stands at 5:30 am IST.  If you can’t make it to the live broadcast, you can still log in to Lionsgate Play and stream the event anytime you want.

73rd Annual Emmy Award Nominations 

With the staggering  24 nominations to its name both, “The Mandalorian” and  “The Crown” champions the first place. With Twenty nominations “Ted Lasso” is the 2nd leading show. “The Handmaid’s Tale”, Saturday Night Live, and  WandaVision, are among the other shows with several nominations.

HBO has by far the most 130 nominations this year,  led by “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “The Boys,” and “I May Destroy You.” The streaming giant Netflix ranks second with 129 nominations for its original shows including “The Queen’s Gambit”, “Bridgerton.”, and “The Crown,”  

Emmys are the awards provided for excellence in TV. Emmys are pre-eminent television awards, equal to Oscars for movies, Grammy for music, Tony for theatre.
