Well, this would not be the first time that the Grammys have been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Last year’s Grammy Awards ceremony which was originally scheduled to be held on 31st January was postponed to 14th March as there was a surge in covid cased in LA.
The makers then cited the reason for postponing the event as “the deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles”.
Not just the date, but the venue was also changed from Staples Center to the nearby Los Angeles Convention Center. This change was made to reduce the number of spectators at the ceremony.
Fulwell 73 Productions are the producers of the telecast of the Awards ceremony. Ben Winston, Jesse Collins, and Raj Kapoor are serving as executive producers whereas Jeannae Rouzan Clay is the co-executive producer.
Hamish Hamilton, who succeeded Louis J. Horvitz as director last year, is set to return as director for the second year.
Well, for now, we just need to keep our fingers crossed until there comes some official announcement about the upcoming Grammy Awards 2022 from the organizers.
