Hunter Schafer was born in the year 1998 in Trenton, New Jersey. Katy Schafer and Mac Schafer are her parents. She has three siblings – one brother and two sisters.
She completed her graduation from the North Carolina School of the Arts in the year 2017. Hunter is not vegan however she often eats vegan food.
Hunter was a semifinalist in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. She travels all across the globe for her acting and modeling work.
Hunter began her career in the field of the fashion industry as a model and earned a name for herself. During her professional modeling career, she promoted international brands like Prada, Dior, Calvin Klein, Rick Owens, Helmut Lang, Tommy Hilfiger, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, and many others.

Hunter prefers she/her/they pronouns. She said, “I do like people to know that I’m not a cis girl because that’s not something that I am or feel like I am. I’m proud to be a trans person” while speaking on North Carolina public radio.
She acted as a plaintiff in the lawsuit filed against North Carolina’s bathroom bill. Hunter described, “What exactly is House Bill 2? Passed in March 2016, HB2 states that users of public restrooms must visit the restroom that corresponds to their assigned sex at birth, rather than the room that corresponds to their gender identity.”
She was of the opinion that the bill puts trans people at risk especially those who are outside of and in between gender binaries.

Hunter Schafer is presently single. It is not sure if she is dating someone outside public glare.
