Former president of the U.S.A, Donald Trump announced on 20-October, Wednesday that he will soon launch his own social media platform, TRUTH Social.
As per the press release issued by Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), his new social networking site is all set to introduce a beta version in the month of November 2021 that will be exclusively available to invited guests. The nationwide rollout is expected in the first quarter of 2022.
Earlier Trump’s account was removed from many social media platforms and he gave hint that he will create a rival social media platform himself.

In 2021, after he lost presidential elections in 2020, global social media firms like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube have either banned or suspended his account for violation of their policies post the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol.
In a statement released by Trump, he said, “I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable.”

The Republican leader and businessman further added, “I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!”
A new company will be formed after the merger of Trump Media and Technology Group and Digital World Acquisition Corp (Listed company on NASDAQ) that will launch the TRUTH Social app, as per a statement released by both the companies.
As mentioned in one of the presentation slides of the company that is available on its website, the company’s vision is to compete against industry behemoths like Amazon.com’s AWS cloud service and Google Cloud.
The mission of the company is to create “a rival to the liberal media consortium and fight back against the Big Tech companies,” as per Trump.
In an interview given to Fox News, his son, Donald Trump Jr. said, “For so long, Big Tech has suppressed conservative voices. Tonight my father signed a definitive merger agreement to form what will ultimately be the Trump Media and Technology Group and TRUTH Social – a platform for everyone to express their feelings.”
As per the news release issued by the companies, the Trump Media & Technology Group deal is valued at $875 million, including debt.
Well, for now, Trump’s social media app TRUTH is available for pre-order in the Apple app store and it will be made available only to invited guests during its Beta launch next month. The app will be officially rolled out to everyone in America early next year.
