Top Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone announced the launch of ‘Care Package‘ which is the first of its kind Audio-First Festival that Cares. The actress took this initiative to talk about self-care as well as mental health.
And what is more interesting is that this festival kickstarts today, 20th of July at 7 PM and continues till 8:30 PM IST on Clubhouse.
The Care Package is a box full of conversations and performances which Deepika herself curated carefully from the leaders across the world that prioritize Care.
Deepika Padukone’s ‘Care Package’ on Clubhouse – Here are the details
Deepika Padukone shared the news on her Instagram handle where she wrote, “I’m super excited to launch ‘Care Package’ – An Audio-First Festival that Cares! This package, curated by me, is a box full of conversations and performances from thought leaders around the world that prioritise ’Care’.”
The Care Package festival will be held in three segments, in which the speakers will have discussions with the audience. The first segment which runs from 7:05 PM to 7:30 PM will be ‘My Relationship with Self-care’ which will involve Deepika Padukone, Aarthi Ramamurthy, Raghava KK, and Sriram Krishnan as speakers. The second segment ‘Breathe, By The Artidote’ by Jovva Ferreyera runs from 7:30 PM to 7:45 PM. And the last segment ‘Love and Care – How is it different’ which runs from 7:45 PM to 8:15 PM will involve Deepika Padukone, Jay Shetty, Radhi Devlukia Aarthi Ramamurthy, and Sriram Krishnan.
And last but not the least, singer Prateek Kuhad will be concluding the festival from 8:15 PM to 8:30 PM.
Deepika Padukone has been hugely involved in spreading awareness about mental health. The ‘Piku’ actress is a vocal advocate of mental health. In 2020, Deepika has been honored with the Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum for her efforts in spreading awareness about mental health.
The actress who herself has been a victim of depression had said, “With more than 300 million people suffering with the illness, depression is the leading cause of ill health and disability in the world today and a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease. It is therefore increasingly clear that now more than ever before, we need to aggressively address what is an invisible and overlooked health and social burden. I am humbled and deeply honoured to be chosen for this year’s Crystal Award and dedicate the award to the millions around the world who experience stress, anxiety and depression, and other forms of mental illness.”
Deepika Padukone also came up with a new initiative, ‘Frontline Assist’ on the 14th of July so as to help the frontline workers in dealing with mental health issues during this Covid-19 pandemic.
The actress shared a post regarding the same on her Instagram account which reads, “Frontline workers have been the backbone of our country as we weather this pandemic. Having had a lived experience with mental illness, I understand the importance of emotional wellbeing, and as a mental health foundation, we are grateful to be able to contribute to the mental health of our country’s frontline workers with ‘Frontline Assist’.”
