Tiffany Haddish has been sued for molestation
Yes, you read that right. Not long ago, the 43-year-old actress was accused of child molestation in a lawsuit that was filed in California’s Superior Court for Los Angeles County, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
As per the reports of People, a woman named Jane Doe sued Tiffany Haddish and comedian Aries Spears, on behalf of a minor identified as John Doe. Jane claims that when she was 14 years old, Tiffany took her to the taping of a “sexually suggestive Subways commercial” and allegedly told her to perform inappropriate sexual acts. Jane also alleges that Tiffany offered to help get her on television.
More details about the lawsuit
For those of you who are unaware, let us tell you, that back in the day, Tiffany Haddish was friends with the mother of Jane and John Doe. Their mom alleges that she and Tiffany met each other through comedy and developed a close relationship over their respective divorces.
During an interaction with The Daily Beast, the mom of two said, “We were both going through a divorce. Messy, messy, messy, messy divorces… We just got really, really super, super close.”
Tiffany Haddish and her former partner William Stewart tied the knot in 2008 and ended up getting divorced later on. In the year 2013, Tiffany divorced her then-husband, William Stewart, after five years of marriage.
As per the lawsuit, Haddish called Jane and her family for “every birthday and every Christmas.” Jane spilled the beans on the shoot details and told The Daily Beast, “I tried to mimic what they wanted me to mimic, but it still came out just super uncomfortable. I knew when I left the booth that I didn’t complete what they wanted me to do.”
Tiffany Haddish’s lawyer has denied the claims
Tiffany’s lawyer Andrew Brettler, told People magazine, “Plaintiff’s mother, Trizah Morris, has been trying to assert these bogus claims against Ms. Haddish for several years. Every attorney who has initially taken on her case — and there were several — ultimately dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were meritless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down.”
Haddish’s attorney Andrew went on to say, “Now, Ms. Morris has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two of them will together face the consequences of pursuing this frivolous action.”
