‘Cheer’ Star Maddy Brum Recovering After Getting Hit by a Car

Maddy Brum is on the road to recovery! At the moment, the Cheer star is recovering after she met with a bad accident earlier this week. She was hit by a car while walking in Kansas City, Missouri. Keep scrolling to learn how is Brum holding up right now.

Maddy shared a quick health update on social media

On Thursday, the 21-year-old took to her Instagram to share a health update with her fans all over the world. She posted a few pictures of herself in a hospital bed on the social media platform Instagram and she also talked about the car accident in the caption of the post.

“I’m feeling extra blessed today. Blessed to be alive and blessed to be surrounded by people who give me nothing but happiness and comfort. Two days ago, Angel, James, Jay and I were crossing the street at a cross walk, where a car turned and drove into me at 20-30 mph. Luckily, I only left with bruises and cuts on my body”, she captioned the post.

The professional cheerleader also thanked all her friends who stood by her during this difficult time. She further added, “Thank you to my people @amazingjamestho  @qangel_rice @thejaykendrick for being by my side and making sure I was safe and okay. I have the bestest friends. 🥺 Thank you to @cheertourofficial for helping me at the hospital, as well as getting an orthopedic surgeon to make sure I was okay to still do what I love.”

Maddy plans to perform on the remaining shows of the ‘Cheer’ Live Tour

Yes, you heard it right. We must say that kudos to Maddy and her spirit as she is still thinking about performing on the Cheer Live Tour 2022. For those of you who are unversed, Brum was in Kansas City for the Cheer Live Tour.

As of now, Maddy still plans to perform on a couple of remaining shows of the tour. That’s some sheer dedication and commitment of the Netflix star towards her work. The Cheer live tour will be stopping by in Chicago this weekend and then it will go on through summer.

Brum told her fans, “I will be doing the tour to the best of my ability for the next few shows. I am so unbelievably thankful that I am still alive and still get the opportunity to do what I love.” She also thanked her fellow Navarro cheerleader Deidra Lizette “for being a ROCKSTAR and coming in on such short notice” to join the tour as she heals.

Brum’s coach Monica was glad that things didn’t get worse

Maddy’s’ coach and Dancing With the Stars alum Monica Aldama dropped a comment on her Instagram post that read, “I’m so thankful it wasn’t worse! ❤️❤️❤️ I love you!”
