If you’re a conservative, you’re going to be very angry as Taylor has revealed the identity of this creepy anonymous account holder. In her recently published Washington Post article, Taylor said,
“The anonymous account’s impact is deep and far-reaching. Its content is amplified by high-profile media figures, politicians and right-wing influencers. Its tweets reach millions, with influence spreading far beyond its more than 648,000 Twitter followers. Libs of TikTok has become an agenda-setter in right-wing online discourse, and the content it surfaces shows a direct correlation with the recent push in legislation and rhetoric directly targeting the LGBTQ+ community.”
“The account has been promoted by podcast host Joe Rogan, it’s been featured in the New York Post, the Federalist, the Post Millennial and a slew of other right-wing news sites. Meghan McCain has retweeted it.”
She added, “The online influencer Glenn Greenwald has amplified it to his 1.8 million Twitter followers while calling himself the account’s “Godfather.” Last Thursday, the woman behind the account appeared anonymously on Tucker Carlson’s show to complain about being temporarily suspended for violating Twitter’s community guidelines. Fox News often creates news packages around the content that Libs of TikTok has surfaced.”
Wondering about the true identity of the account holder of Libs of Tik Tok. She is none other than the Chaya Raichik, who has been working as a real estate salesperson in Brooklyn when, in early November 2020, she created the account that would eventually become Libs of TikTok.
Taylor further revealed that “Under her first handle @shaya69830552, she minimized covid, cast doubt on the election results and promoted a dubious story about a child sex trafficking ring.
On Nov. 23, 2020, Raichik changed handles, this time going by @shaya_ray and identifying herself publicly as a real estate investor in Brooklyn. She began doubling down on election fraud conspiracies using QAnon-related language. Early that December, she joked about launching a clothing line titled “voter fraud is real.”

Lorenz’s efforts to reveal the identity of the anonymous account holder became public knowledge when Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis’ press secretary Christina Pushaw shared a screenshot of an email sent by a Washington Post Journalist asking for her comment on the story.
On the other hand, research claimed that Libs of TikTok is owned by a realtor in Brooklyn, New York. The accountholder noted “real estate investor” under one of the previous handles. Guess what? She is a real estate person!
About Libs of TikTok
Libs of Tiktok is one of the most influential conservative accounts present on social media. While one knows that it is held by a woman, no one really knows her identity, not yet until Taylor reveals it.
The anonymous woman is known for openly writing anti-transgender agendas and cursing liberals. For instance, she misgenders trans people and maligns civil rights protestors as criminals. Even though she deleted her Twitter account, she remains active on Instagram with around 66.6k followers.
The Instagram profile, Libs of TikTok has a caption revealing its originality, which reads, “The original Libs of TikTok from Twitter. Bringing you the most insane news. All videos belong to their respective owners. Dm submissions.”
One of the recent posts on Libs of TikTok states: “Not only do they demand we use their pronouns, but now they insist we put in the emotional effort to understand their gender and pronouns. Off the charts narcissism.” I hope those who don’t know about this handle, now understand what is it all about.
If you think like a liberal, you’d find this handle as just a fun page, something that I was a liberal would create to mock the conservatives. However, Taylor’s recent confession about revealing the anonymous user’s identity has put them in hot waters. Should we care? That is the question.
Last weekend, it was revealed that the alleged person tweeting from Libs of TikTok account declared that he/she had attended the protest at the Capitol on January 6th. In late March, the account holder launched a newsletter stating: “it’s a matter of time before I get suspended.” Seems like the end is near.
Taylor receives backlash
Many conservatives instantly took to social media criticising Lorenz for “Doxxing and harassing the Libs of TikTok creator.” Not only this but Taylor is also being accused of “hypocrisy” for exposing another woman to as similar online harassment that she received ina. a recent interview with MSNBC.
Lebanese-American conservative writer Brigitte Gabriel accused Lorenz of “doxing a teenager.” Taylor is also accused of showing up at the house of relatives of this anonymous account holder. However, the accusation remains unproven as neither Lorenz nor Washington Post has commented on the same.
However, journalist Glenn Greenwald wrote, “Taylor Lorenz is about to ‘expose’ the private citizen behind some anonymous account on Twitter, and when people criticize her for it, she and her friends will claim Taylor is the Real Victim and anyone criticizing this type of “journalism” will be guilty of causing her trauma. “This has nothing to do with journalism: just politics.”
He further wrote, “Journalism isn’t about just exposing things for the sake of it. It’s about exposing matters in the public interest about *powerful institutions* like CIA/NSA, Wall St, oligarchs, and politicians.
Using Jeff Bezos’ money to expose private citizens for having bad politics is gross,” he wrote. In a long thread, he accuses Lorenz of being “aroused” by exposing “teenagers,” “obscure women on the internet” and now “this anonymous Twitter user.” Glenn is openly criticizing Taylor for being “aroused” by exposing “teenagers,” “obscure women on the internet” and now “this anonymous Twitter user.”
Many people have come forward to rescue Taylor from this ongoing backlash. One sensible Twitter user responded to Glenn’s tweet by saying, “I’m not sufficiently in the weeds to parse the Taylor Lorenz angle or all the alleged hypocrisies, but the underlying story is definitely legit news. LibsofTikTok is an important account. It makes news. It shapes events and drives policy. Of course, it’s fair game.”
Taylor took to Twitter today and responded to the backlash with a popular meme that includes three phrases with visual representation: A butterfly that says “The most basic reporting practices”, “Ring Wing media” on the left and a guy saying, “is this doxxing?”. Have a look:

We don’t know if this story is worth it or not, but this is some good investigative work by Taylor. But let me ask a question, Now What? Libs of TikTok is still active on Instagram and I am waiting for a response.

The bigggest crime that Libs of Tik Tok committed was letting insane tik toks get exposure, incredibly important.
Most of her posts are literally showing the tik tok in all its gruesome glory.
Don’t assume it’s just conservatives who appreciated the unmasking, moderate Dems, naturally, who no longer have a voice.

Pro tip: Nobody believes the fakery of “I’m a ______, but here’s me regurgitating the talking point nonsense from the other side almost verbatim.” Raichik is a hatemonger who managed to get what she wanted: prominence and influence with her hate vendetta. She lives by the culture war and doesn’t get to complain when people fight back. Moreover, her identity became a matter of public interest once she gained the influence she sought, getting cited by prominent pundits and politicians, sic’ing armies of angry Trumpers on people to make death threats, etc. She’s getting her just desserts.
The Right wing Trumpsters are always ready to play dirty and fill space with crude allegations, currently their go-to preference is the suggestion of child sexual abuse, a label that once applied is incredibly difficult to remove, no matter it be based on nothing.

But she’s not merely reposting. She’s adding her own captions, presenting clips with zero context, and/or deceptively framing each clip to suit her ideological agenda.
Look at @badlegaltakes. That account *merely* reposts content. It’s not being used by lawmakers to promote policies, and it’s not getting anyone fired.
