Actor Anne Heche died on August 12 after getting injured in a car crash a week earlier. The actor drove her car through a Los Angeles home on August 5, due to which the house and the car went up in flames.

The couple first listed the home on the market for $1.25 million in January 2017. After their split, the house ownership was transferred to Anne, and then it was relisted for $1.05 million in August 2019.
The couple also had another home in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles, which they built in 2009. The 4,735 square foot, four-bedroom home was listed for $3.95 million in May 2019, and was sold for $3.165 million in November 2019.
The Actor came from a Financially Weak Background
The actor, who went on to have a fortune of $4 million, came from a humble background. Anne was the youngest of the five children of her parents. Her father was a choir director who did not earn much. The family moved eleven times during her childhood.
Due to her family’s tight financial situation, Anne had to work at a dinner theater in Swainton. “At the time we’d been kicked out of our house and my family was holed up living in a bedroom in the home of a generous family from our church,” she had recalled in an interview.
“I got $100 a week, which was more than anyone else in my family. We all pooled our money in an envelope in a drawer and saved up enough to move out after a year,” the actor had added.
