Fans of “Home Alone” can rejoice now and this holiday season as they have the option to live their dreams of hanging out at the McCallister house along with their friends and family.
Airbnb on 1st December, Wednesday confirmed that it is renting out the iconic Home Alone house albeit just for a night only.
Airbnb has posted a message on the social media platform Instagram by writing, “Celebrate the season McCallister-style, ya filthy animals. For the first time ever, one crew of mischief makers can book a holiday in the timeless house where the Home Alone story began (without the interruption of pesky intruders)”.
“Home Alone” House to be available on Airbnb for rent only for one night
This suburban home is an attractive place visited by people even today. The property that is located in the Chicago area will be available for just $25 excluding fees and taxes. Interested fans can secure their stay at the home on 12th December.
The one-night-only booking will be restricted just for one family or group on a first come first serve basis. The company has made special arrangements so that the home looks akin to what it appeared in the movie.

Actor Devin Ratray, who played the role of Kevin McCallister’s older brother Buzz in the movie will welcome the guests. The role of Macaulay Culkin was played by Kevin McCallister. The “Home Sweet Home Alone,” movie will be streamed on the night for guests.
The new installment in the “Home Alone” franchise, “Home Sweet Home Alone,” was released last month on OTT video service platform Disney+. British child actor, Archie Yates, who starred in the movie will be left alone in the mansion over the Christmas holiday by his family. Ellie Kemper portrays the role of would-be burglars.
There are several frames of photos of Yates in the “Home Alone” house so Airbnb host Buzz has recruited a special security team to make sure there is no disruption to guests’ stay. Airbnb has planned special Chicago’s finest pizza offerings for the guest along with a meet and greet event with a real-life tarantula.
Airbnb also said, “In honor of the first-ever stay at the McCallister home it will make a one-time donation to Chicago’s La Rabida Children’s Hospital which is dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life for patients with complex conditions, disabilities, and chronic illness”.
