Controversial rapper, Tekashi69 aka 6ix9ine is a social media personality and convicted felon with an estimated net worth of $500K.

He pleaded guilty to a felony charge of involving a child in a sexual performance back in 2015. However, he was released before his sentence was served in full because of the COVID-19 pandemic and since then he is under house arrest.

Don’t ever let that n***a say he the King Of this city”. DJ Akademiks posted these numbers on his Instagram handle with the caption, “Big W or Big L for Fivio”.

6ix9ine responded to him back in the comments section saying, “This y’all king?. Not blackballed, all those features, the whole industry promoted that [crying face emojis] and now you Kanye and Nicki sidekick even they even tried to help you promote [crying face emojis].”

Early Life

Tekashi69 was born Daniel Hernandez in the year 1996 in Bushwick, Brooklyn. His family went through financial hardship after his stepfather was shot dead in 2010.

14-Year-old Daniel has severe physiological damage. He was expelled from school while he was studying in 8th standard. He started working at a grocery store to assist his family.

Rap Career

Daniel started his career in the field of rap at the age of 16. While he was working, he happened to meet Peter “Righteous P” Rogers, the CEO of a record label Hikari-Ultra who came into the Brooklyn bodega. Peter encouraged Daniel to start releasing original songs.

His debut song titled “69” was released in the year 2014. He then went on to release several additional singles. He then changed his name to Tekashi 6ix9ine and released multiple albums and videos that made him popular in the underground rap scene.

Hits of his Career

In 2018, Tekashi69 released his debut mixtape Day69. He attained much success with his debut single “Gummo” which occupied the 6th position on the US Rap chart, #7 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and made it to #12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

6IX9INE’s other single titled “Kooda” reached #29 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart and occupied the 50th spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Signs a Million dollar deal

In 2019, the rapper signed a contract with record company 10K Projects. The deal is reportedly worth around $10 million and will involve two future albums (English and Spanish).

Financial Hardship

Last month, according to the documents submitted in court by 6ix9ine, he is facing severe financial hardship due to loss of income primarily because his career came to a standstill in the last two years.

He claimed that he is receiving no royalty income and was unable to earn through touring. His filings claimed, “Right now, I am struggling to make ends meet. I do not know if I will ever command the kind of advances I was paid before my arrest, and my career stalled.”
