Fortnite is ready to kick off 2022 in style with the return of the PlayStation Cup. It is calling all PS4 and PS5 players to participate in the PS Cup this week to take home the massive prize pool. Find out how to register for it, date, time, format, and more here.
Fortnite’s PlayStation Cup is among the most prestigious tournaments in the game, and a winner is crowned separately for every region. It is a Solo competition with two rounds. The last one was held in November 2021, and more than a million players participated in it.
This time, Fortnite is using the similar format it used last time, and you can register for it directly from the game. Any player who plays on a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 is eligible. You only need an incredible set of skills to grab the massive cash prize.
Fortnite PlayStation Cup Schedule: Start Date and Time
The Fortnite PlayStation Cup is a Solo Fortnite tournament exclusive for PS4 and PS5 players. In this solo competition, players battle against other players of their region for a massive prize pool.

This time, Fortnite PlayStation Cup will take place on Friday, January 14, 2022, and Saturday, January 15, 2022. It will split into two rounds across the two days. It will start at 9 PM GMT on Friday, and 2 PM GMT on Saturday.
The PlayStation Cup is not available in the Asia server region, and the players in Japan will be ineligible to compete. Players from the rest of the regions can register for it right now.
Fortnite PlayStation Cup Format and Points System
The Solo competition consists of two rounds. The first round (Round 1) will be an open competition where you can play a maximum of 10 games in 3 hours to earn as many points as you can.
The top 100 players in each region will then advance to the second round (Round 2). This round will consist of 6 total matches. The top performers of Round 2 will earn a prize in each region.
This competition will follow the point format which is structured to give a healthy balance for eliminations as well as survival. The position points will remain the same for both rounds. Whereas players will be rewarded 1 point per elimination in Round 1, and 2 points per elimination in Round 2.
Here is the points format for the position:
- Victory Royale: 30 points
- 2nd: 25 points
- 3rd: 22 points
- 4th: 20 points
- 5th: 19 points
- 6th: 17 points
- 7th: 16 points
- 8th: 15 points
- 9th: 14 points
- 10th: 13 points
- 11th – 15th: 11 points
- 16th – 20th: 9 points
- 21st – 25th: 7 points
- 26th – 30th: 5 points
- 31st – 35th: 4 points
- 36th – 40th: 3 points
- 41st – 50th: 2 points
- 51st – 75th: 1 point

Fortnite PlayStation Cup Prize Pool Breakdown
The total prize pool of the Fortnite PlayStation cup is $107,100 with the winner taking home the biggest amount of cash. Overall, 64 players will win a prize after the end of Round 2 while 20 will win a prize in Oceania and ME region.

How to Register for Fortnite PlayStation Cup?
The Fortnite PlayStation Cup’s Round 1 is an open tournament. This means that anyone who is eligible can participate in it. To register and play in it, you just need to launch the game, navigate to the “Compete” tab from the top, find the PlayStation Cup Solo, and start playing when the event kicks off.
You can also find the accurate start time for your region under the Compete tab. The eligibility criteria for the Fortnite PlayStation Cup is as follows:
- Your Fortnite account must be at least Level 50.
- You must be playing on either PlayStation 4 or PlayStation5.
- You must have enabled two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Epic Games account.
- Your region must not be Asia or Japan.
If you meet the conditions, stay ready when the tournament starts. You will have a total of 3 hours for Round 1. Try playing the maximum of 10 games and keep surviving till the end.
