On Monday, Zac was spotted on the sets of the new film, The Iron Claw, in Louisiana. He debuted an extremely beefed-up new physique, bowled cut, and a glowing tan as he is set to portray the character of Kevin Von Erich in the movie.

The Hollywood Heartthrob who is well-known for his muscular frame had to put on a substantial amount of muscle in order to replicate the physical appearance of the wrestling legend Kevin Von Erich. We must say he looks unrecognizable in his new avatar as Kevin.

For those of you who are unversed, let us tell you, Zac Efron’s upcoming movie, The Iron Claw is a drama that revolves around the Von Erich family, who created a dynasty that made a huge impact on the sport in their heyday in the 1960s until tragedy struck, again, and again.

Along with Zac Efron, the movie also stars Lily James, Harris Dickinson, Holt McCallany, Jeremy Allen White, and Maura Tierney. A24’s The Iron Claw will be written and directed by Sean Durkin.

As of this moment, the official date of the release of the film is not known. By all the things that have been revealed till now, we can speculate that the movie might hit the screens in either late 2023 or early 2024.

‘The Iron Claw’ is based on the true story of the Von Erich family

Yeah, you read that right. Zac Efron’s forthcoming movie titled The Iron Claw is based on the true life story of the Von Erich family. The central plot of the series will focus on the legendary wrestling family who made a big impact in the world of wrestling in the 60s. Everything was going smoothly for the Von Erich family until tragedy struck them continuously.

Jack Adkisson, who was popularly known as Fritz Von Erich started his career by playing a Nazi on the wrestling circuit in the 50s and 60s. The story of the Von Erich family is filled with tragedy.

Five of Fritz’s six sons passed away at a young age. Kevin is the only surviving member of the Von Erich family. Jack’s first son died at the age of six after an exposed wire electrocuted him and drowned in a puddle. His third son passed away at the age of 25 from a suspected painkiller overdose. Meanwhile, his fourth and fifth, and sixth sons committed suicide.
