Yung Miami has revealed that her ‘situationship’ with Diddy is over. The two rappers, who made several headlines for their open and very public romance in the past two years, have gone their separate ways.
Miami made the announcement in an interview with The Cut and also revealed that she still remains friends with the Diddy. The two were first spotted together in June 2021, and confirmed their romance a year later, stating that they were in an open relationship.
Yung Miami Confirms Break Up with Diddy
The 29-year-old rapper opened up about her situation with Diddy during her recent interview and said, “I felt like, it is what it is. Eventually, people was gonna find out because he is who he is, I am who I am. We was just like, if we’re going to put it out there, we’re going to be the ones that talk. I don’t like anyone talking for me.”
The interviewer then asked her if they were still together, to which the Cat Girls artist replied, “No.” She explained her current relationship status and said, “We’re still friends! We’re still good friends! But we’re single.”
“That’s not my man. We had our own situation, I’m not gonna put a title on it. We were f***ing with each other hard. We were together every day at one point. He supported me, I supported him. I’ll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it,” she continued.
Yung Miami and Diddy Sparked Dating Rumors in Summer 2021
The two were first spotted together at Pierre “Pee” Thomas’s black-tie affair in Atlanta in June 2021. They were clicked holding hands at the time. The couple then started to go on vacations together and were also seen at each other’s concerts.
In June 2022, Diddy appeared in an episode of Miami’s podcast Caresha Please and confirmed their romance. “We date. We’re dating. We go have dates. We’re friends. We go to exotic locations. We have great times,” the 53-year-old rapper said on the podcast.
The Duo Refused to Label their Relationship
Miami and Diddy spoke of each other on several occasions but refused to put a label on their relationship. “We are dating. We single, but we’re dating. People don’t know what dating means. He’s single, I’m single, but we’re dating,” Miami clarified in an interview in September last year.
“He sees other people outside of me, and I see people outside of him. I’m young. I’m dating. I’m, you know, having fun. I’m doing me. He’s doing the same thing. I can’t speak for exactly what he doing or who he seeing, but we single and we dating,” added the Ex For A Reason rapper.
In December 2022, Diddy announced the birth of his baby girl. However, it was revealed that Miami was not the mother. People then started trolling the rapper, but Diddy stood by her side and gave it back to the trolls.
“@yungmiami305 is not my side chick. Never has been, never will be. She’s very important and special to me, and I don’t play about my Shawty Wop. I don’t discuss things on the internet and I will not start today,” the music mogul wrote on social media.
