Following a struggle to conceive for nearly two years, the couple confirmed Thursday that they are due to have their first child.
The Exciting News Was Shared On Tortorella And Meyers’ Instagram Pages
“There is so much to tell you all about this unexpected story of how we finally conceived, but today I just want to sit in the excitement of sharing our news with all of you,” she wrote next to a photo of the couple they shared on Instagram. “Our baby is in my belly.”
According to Meyers, 35, she sent her “love” to all the parents still on the “journey of parenthood,” expressing her concern for them.
“I know some of you may have just had another failed cycle, or found out your pregnancy wasn’t viable, or some other hiccup in this wild game they call trying to conceive. Permission to mute me, step away or feel all of those feelings. I’ve been there too.”
It can be seen in the sweet photos that the “Younger” star kisses Meyer’s belly adorably as she proudly displays her growing bump in a brown fitted dress.
Besides sharing the news on their Instagram, Tortorella, whose pronouns they/them are used in their writing, also said, “the baby. Coming 3.9 @bethanycmeyers i love you.”

Over the last couple of years, there has been an open discussion about Meyers and Tortorella’s infertility journey and their struggles.
Earlier this year, Meyers posted a picture of herself and her dog snuggled together while crying on her Instagram account. In the photograph’s caption, she wrote, “One minute you’re smiling at your birthday pics, the next minute you’re crying in bed on a Tuesday morning, and moments later you’ll put on a happy face for your Zoom meeting.”.
“That’s what the TTC (trying to conceive) journey is .” According to the actor, in September last year, the couple, who are polyamorous, put their “alternative sex life” on hold to become parents.
“I’m only having sex to get pregnant right now. And I haven’t had sex with a dude in two years. I haven’t had sex with anyone except for my partner since February of 2020,” one of them revealed in a podcast entitled “Call Her Daddy.”Â

“Just married. For real,” Tortorella wrote alongside several photos taken on their wedding day, pointing out that the couple had also written about their experiences for a publication for LGBTQs.
Their special day was marked by the wear of “gender-blending ensembles”, which included both dresses and pants because, as the actor noted in the publication, “in this relationship, both men and women wear both pants and dresses.”.
