In an interview, the director/writer revealed that “Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he’s not [given] them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult,” as he is off to college.
“Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral,” he added. “So they’ve gone back to their animal roots. They’re no longer tame: they’re like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey.”

What Paved the Way to this Horror Version ?
After glancing through the first look we do question how is this even possible? But this animated version of the adorable bear which we have seen in Disney cartoons has now been transformed.
The original 1926 source novel which was written by A.A. Milne entered the public domain only this year and now Pooh similar to Sherlock Holmes or Robin Hood can have its own versions as long as the elements of the story or characters added or owned by Disney are not used in the adaptation.
