For those of you who are unaware, Victoria Nwayawu Nwosu-Hope is a British TV and radio presenter, journalist, and published author. She was born on September 25, 1989, in England. She was raised in Newcastle upon Tyne, by her English father and Nigerian mother.
Vick has a total of three younger siblings, all brothers. She attended Emmanuel College, Cambridge to study modern languages. She is fluent in several languages including French, Spanish, and Portuguese. In the past, she has spoken in interviews about teaching herself Spanish and taking night classes in Newcastle in extra A-Level subjects to secure her place at Cambridge.
Hope began her career during her university “year abroad” in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the time she was 19 years old and she became the youngest ever journalist employed by the independent English-language ex-pat newspaper The Argentina Independent.
When did Vick Hope come into the limelight?
The 32-year-old served as host for the Capital Breakfast show on Capital FM radio station. Post this, she hosted Crufts on Channel 4, Carnage on Sky One, Trending Live on 4Music, Life Hacks, and Going Home with Vick and Jordan on BBC Radio 1, and FYI Daily on ITV2.
Soon afterward, Vick was presented with another opportunity and she grabbed it with both hands and became the digital reporter for The Voice UK in 2018. She played the role of a backstage presenter for ITV’s The X Factor in the year 2019.
2020 turned out to be even a better year for Hope professionally as she was asked to be the red carpet host of the 2020 BAFTA Film Awards. It was revealed in October of 2020 that she will host a new ITV Hub sister show entitled I’m a Celebrity...The Daily Drop.
Victoria is best known for her work presenting the Capital Breakfast show in London along with Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay since the year 2017. She bid a goodbye to the show in February 2020 to put her focus on other ventures. Apart from this, she is also a human rights activist and Amnesty International ambassador.
