The highly-anticipated series Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has finally premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The first two episodes of the fantasy series dropped on September 1, 2022, and since then, the fans of the show haven’t stopped raving over it.

Nazanin Boniadi hails from Iran
Nazanin Boniadi was born on May 22, 1980, in Tehran, Iran following the Iranian Revolution. She and her family left Iran when she was merely one month old. At that time, they moved to London as political refugees.
Nazanin was brought up in London. While growing up, she went to an independent school in Hampstead. After a while, she moved to the United States to attend college at the University of California, Irvine. She bagged the Chang Pin-Chun Undergraduate Research Award for molecular research involving cancer treatment and heart transplant rejection at the University.
Boniadi graduated with a bachelor’s degree, in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine. She switched her career path from science to acting in 2006. Nazanin’s first major acting role came with the daytime drama show General Hospital. She essayed the role of Leyla Mir in the show General Hospital and its spinoff show General Hospital: Night Shift.
Back in the day, Boniadi became the first actor to play a Middle Eastern character in the history of American daytime television. In 2008, she earned a nomination for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series for her great performance in the show General Hospital.
Soon afterward, Nazanin appeared in films such as Charlie Wilson’s War (directed by Mike Nichols), Jon Favreau’s Iron Man, and The Next Three Days (directed by Paul Haggis). Nazanin also got an opportunity to play the part of a villain in ABC’s Scandal. She played the role of antagonist Adnan Salif in the show. She also made a guest appearance in an episode of the show Grey’s Anatomy.
Nazanin received critical acclaim for her performance in the movie ‘Hotel Mumbai’
Yes, you read that right. Nazanin received loads of appreciation from the end of critics for her performance in the film Hotel Mumbai. She essayed the character of British-Iranian heiress Zahra Kashani in the 2018 feature film Hotel Mumbai. She bagged a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards in 2019.

In the past, Nazanin was a spokesperson for Amnesty International USA, which works to protect human rights all over the world. At that point in time, she paid all her heed to the Iranian women and youth.

In the past, Nazanin Boniadi was engrossed in the field of Scientology. She followed in the footsteps of her mother and ended up becoming a scientologist in the 2000s.
The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings of Power alum was romantically linked to the Top Gun: Maverick star Tom Cruise in 2004. The two of them had a brief relationship from 2004 to 2005.
During a media interaction, Nazanin claimed that Tom was violent during their relationship and she went on to say that she confided in a fellow church member about the pair’s romance. She was punished for the same and was allegedly placed on a curfew by the church. Shortly soon, she bid adieu to the Church of Scientology.
