Who are the Celebrity Guest Judges on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Season 8?

The guest judges set to be a part of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 8 have been revealed! On April 27, 2023, Thursday, a new teaser of the spinoff of the original RuPaul’s Drag Race was dropped and it featured a couple of guest judges for season 8 of the show.

For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, season 8 of the famous drag queen reality TV competition RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars will be premiering on Paramount+ on May 12 with 2 episodes. Here are the guest judges for ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ season 8 

The guest judges for the forthcoming season of the drag contest reality TV series RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars have been announced just ahead of the premiere of season 8 on Paramount Plus on Friday, May 12, 2023.

RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews and Ts Madison are returning to the judging panel. This year’s competition will feature a total of 12 guest judges. On the other hand, when we talk about the number of drag queens vying for the crown this year, it’s twelve.

Maude Apatow

Maude Apatow, the daughter of filmmaker Judd Apatow and actress Leslie Mann, is an American actress who is best noted for playing the role of Lexi Howard in the HBO’s hit teen drama series Euphoria.

Along with this, Apatow has starred in a couple of movies like Knocked Up, This Is 40, Funny People, House of Tomorrow, Other People, The King of Staten Island, and Assassination Nation.

Brandon Boyd

American singer, songwriter, visual artist, and author, Brandon Boyd is one of the guest judges on season 8 of the show RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. He is well-known by the viewers for being the lead singer of the rock band Incubus.

As of this moment, Boyd has recorded a total of eight albums with the band. Apart from this, he has also released two solo albums: The Wild Trapeze (2010) and Echoes & Cocoons (2022).

Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel is an actress and singer. She made her film debut in the 1999 film Mumford. Soon after, she bagged a part in Cameron Crowe‘s film Almost Famous which saw the light of day in the year 2000.

Her film credits include The Good Girl (2002), The New Guy (2002), Elf (2003), The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (2005), Failure to Launch (2006), Yes Man (2008), 500 Days of Summer (2009) and Our Idiot Brother (2011). In addition to this, she also essayed the role of Jessica Day in the Fox sitcom New Girl.

Thom Filicia

Thom Filicia is an interior designer by profession. Back in the day, he worked as an interior designer in the popular television program Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. He is also a co-author of a book which is based on the show and it goes by the name of Queer Eye For The Straight Guy: The Fab 5 Guide To Living Better.

Filicia’s book titled Thom Filicia Style was published in the year 2008. His other book American Beauty: Renovating and Decorating a Beloved Retreat came out in 2012.

Javicia Leslie

Javicia Leslie is a popular actress who landed her first major role in the 2016 Lifetime film Swim At Your Own Risk. She has starred as Paris Duncan in the crime drama The Family Business, Ali Finer in the CBS comedy-drama God Friended Me, and Batwoman in The CW superhero series Batwoman for the second and third seasons.

Over the years, Leslie has been a part of several films including Always a Bridesmaid, Stuck, First Day Back, Roped, We Are Gathered Here Today, and Something from Tiffany’s amongst many others.

Idina Menzel

‘Queen of Broadway’ Idina Menzel is a beloved actress and singer widely known for her work in musicals on Broadway. Over the last couple of years, she has also tasted success across stage, film, and music. In the year 2019, she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contributions to live theatre.

Ego Nwodim

Nigerian-American actress, comedian, writer, and singer, Ego Nwodim has been a member of the famed NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live since the year 2018. She has spilled her magic on screen in films like The Broken Hearts Gallery, 5th Passenger, It’s a Party, Magic Camp, and Spin Me Round.

Matt Rogers

Matt Rogers is a comedian, actor, writer, podcaster, and television host. He is known for co-hosting the pop culture podcast Las Culturistas with Bowen Yang. He has been a co-host of the podcast since the year 2016.

Adam Shankman

Adam Shankman who is an American film director, producer, writer, dancer, author, actor, and choreographer served as a permanent judge on seasons 6–7 of the television program So You Think You Can Dance.

Shankman kicked off his professional career in musical theatre and was a background dancer for Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul. He appeared in movies such as A Walk to Remember, Bringing Down The House, and Cheaper By the Dozen 2.

JoJo Siwa

JoJo Siwa is a renowned dancer, actress, singer, YouTuber, and social media star who shot to fame on the reality show Dance Moms in the year 2015. The teen sensation also took part in the dance reality show Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition. She ended her run in the contest as a top-5 finalist. Last year, she was a judge on season 17 of the dance reality show So You Think You Can Dance.

Robin Thede

Robin Thede is an American comedian, actress, and writer. Along with this, she has also worked as an entertainment correspondent, host, and radio personality. In the year 2015, she became the first African-American woman to be head writer for a late-night talk show (The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore). She created and stars in the Emmy-nominated HBO series A Black Lady Sketch Show.

 

Bowen Yang

Australian-born American actor, comedian, writer, singer, rapper, and podcaster Bowen Yang made history in the year 2021 by becoming the first SNL featured player to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. At the moment, he co-hosts a comedy pop-culture podcast, Las Culturistas, with Matt Rogers.
