White House Plumbers Episode 2 Release Date, Time and What to Expect

White House Plumbers is a new satirical political drama that premiered on HBO last week. The miniseries, based on the 2007 book Integrity by Egil Krogh and Matthew Krogh, tells the real story of the Watergate scandal that lead to the overturning of the Presidency for Richard Nixon.

While the show is only one episode old, it has already made its place in the audience’s hearts due to its witty humor and storyline. Fans are now eager to watch the next episode of the show. So when will White House Plumbers episode 2 be released? Read on to find out.

White House Plumbers Episode 2: Release Date and Time

The second episode of White House Plumbers will be aired on HBO on Monday, May 8th, at 9 pm ET / 6 pm PT. The episode has been titled ‘Please Destroy This, Huh.’ It is written by Alex Gregory & Peter Huyck and directed by David Mandel.

The series is set to feature only five episodes, with new installments coming out every Monday. The finale is scheduled to air on May 29th. The upcoming episode will be available to stream simultaneously on HBO Max.

To stream the episode, you need to subscribe to the platform. The streaming service comes at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year for an ad-supported plan. The ads-free and 4k plan is priced at $15.99 a month or $149.99 a year.

What to Expect from White House Plumbers Episode 2?

HBO has released a synopsis for the upcoming episode, which reads, “While Hunt and Dorothy entertain Liddy and his wife Fran at their exclusive country club, their kids Lisa and Saint John paint a less-than-perfect portrait of the family.”

“Later, on the outs with Nixon’s Attorney General John Mitchell, Hunt, and Liddy get a chance to redeem themselves when a leaked memo from Dita Beard puts Mitchell and the administration in legal jeopardy.”

Meanwhile, in the previous episode, former CIA agent E. Howard Hunt and former FBI agent G. Gordon Liddy were tasked by Under Secretary of Transportation Egil Krogh to steal Pentagon Papers leaker Daniel Ellsberg’s psychiatrist’s papers. 

They recruited associates to break in and get a copy of the papers. However, they trashed the office and made up a cover story. Meanwhile, White House Counsel John Dean replaced Krogh and approved the Plumbers’ budget request of a million dollars.

What is White House Plumbers About?

As per the official description, the series ‘goes behind the scenes of the Watergate scandal as Nixon’s political saboteurs, E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, accidentally topple the presidency they were zealously trying to protect.’

‘Chronicling actions on the ground, this satirical drama begins in 1971 when the White House hires Hunt and Liddy, formerly of the CIA and FBI, respectively, to investigate the Pentagon Papers leak.’

White House Plumbers stars Woody Harrelson as E. Howard Hunt, Justin Theroux as G. Gordon Liddy, Lena Headey as Dorothy Hunt, Domhnall Gleeson as John Dean, Judy Greer as Fran Liddy, Kim Coates as Frank Sturgis, Gary Cole as Mark Felt, Toby Huss as James W. McCord Jr. and Liam James as Saint John Hunt.
