Doctor Strange and Multiverse of Madness Filming Locations

The director made many changes while filming the movie and shot in different locations scene-wise. The filming was prolonged because of a pandemic at the start of the filming.

Almost half of the movie was shot in the UK and in Somerset. The studio there is estimated to be worth 2M$.

Vancouver, British Columbia

The multiverse of Madness has a long list of filming locations. Vancouver, British Columbia most of the scenes related to Sanctum Sanctorum were filmed here.

The Sanctum Sanctorum is a fictitious edifice that appears in American comic books published by Marvel Comics as Doctor Strange’s apartment and headquarters.

There were also a few scenes that involved Strange’s battle that was also filmed in New York City.

Freemasons Hall In England

The Freemasons hall in England for the interior structure for Illuminati headquarters.

The scenic beauty of England made way for a few scenes in the movie. Freemasons’ Hall in London is the headquarters of the United Grand Lodge of England and the Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of England. While also being a gathering place for several Masonic Lodges in the area of London.

It’s on Great Queen Street between Holborn and Covent Garden, and it’s been a Masonic meeting site since 1775.

Here’s something interesting: you can go there. Parts of the building are exposed to the public on a daily basis. And its iconic Art Deco style, as well as its frequent use as a movie and television backdrop, have made it a tourist attraction. And many of those who went there must have noticed it.

About the Somerset hall, the Scarlet Witch scenes were also filmed there which appeared in the trailer.

The director in the end made a few calls to reshoot some of the scenes as per the requirements, which were filmed in California and Los Angeles.

Our Opinion On The Locations

Well, looking at the locations it’s actually Multiverse of Madness the production house always kept it real and rebuilt quite a few sets to create different effects wherever necessary.

Marvel has promised to release 3 movies every year as they always want to keep their fans excited and attached to their stories. A great deal, indeed.

The movie was delayed due to a pandemic and is now released in theaters for everyone. Doctor Strange’s previous hit was loved by viewers and now they get this power pack scene filmed at their favorite locations is a big deal.

The Ironman, Spider-Man, and Thor movies have huge separate fan bases, and likewise when it comes to Doctor Strange. It’s the second movie in the Doctor Strange movie series yet it was most awaited after the first movie was a box office hit.

The Marvel production house sometimes makes hasty decisions when it comes to releasing such movies. But it’s kind of understandable. We waited for the masterpiece and it was definitely worth it.
