So, let’s not spend any more time and learn everything there is to know about it.
Where Was Yellowjackets Filmed?
The pilot episode was approved in September 2019 and shot in November in Los Angeles. A flash-forward in the pilot depicts a gathering of people dressed in fur apparel.
While the sequence was being filmed, Hanratty was the only cast member present, while the other characters were performed by stunt coordinators.
“We all have our theories on who that is too,” Hanratty says, adding that the writers haven’t told the cast which characters appear in that scene. We have a group chat in our cast where we try to come up with theories ourselves of what’s going on and who we think is who.”
The show was filmed n a number of different places in Vancouver, British Columbia. Several sequences are filmed at Finch’s Tea House (353 West Pender Street) and Holy Rosary Cathedral Hall (650 Richards Street).
Majority Of Scenes Filmed In Canada
Yellow Jackets was also filmed in a variety of locales and with a variety of distinct settings, however, the majority of the scenes were shot in Canada. Vancouver, British Columbia, in particular, provided many of the series’ backdrops.
Apart from Vancouver, other filming locations included Surrey’s Panther Paintball & Airsoft Sports Park, which served as the scene of the crash, and Burnaby’s The Bridge Studios.
Purnell summarised the production’s timeline in November 2021: “It’s insane. Here’s how it went: we shot the pilot, then took a year and a half off in COVID before heading to Canada to film the entire season in six months. We were engulfed in a super-immersive bubble. We finished three weeks ago, and I’m currently on a publicity junket. It’s been a whirlwind.”
The series premiered on November 10, 2021, at the Hollywood Legion Post 43 in Los Angeles. On November 14, Showtime premiered Yellowjackets.
