The fans have been waiting for the trailer of Weird Al Yankovic since it was announced that Daniel Radcliffe will be playing the Role of Weird in the biopic of the satirical American Artist.
Now the first teaser of the film has been out and it portrays Radcliffe as completely being transformed into Yankovic.
Teaser and Daniel Radcliffe’s Look
The minute-long clip which was released on Tuesday featured the 32-year actor playing the Weird Al’s trademark accordion and spitting out whiskey while being shirtless on the stage as he personified the hitmaker.
Daniel Radcliffe was seen sporting a buff look while he performed shirtless in one of the scenes in the teaser, which showcased him while performing with his band before the trailer cut to him saying ‘Yeah’ and lifting his accordion.

Radcliffe then speaks into a microphone saying “hope you guys are ready for this” in the first few seconds of the trailer.
Radcliffe attired a curly brown wig, glasses, moustache and the trademark Hawaiian t-shirts of Weird Al.
Further, the teaser showed the character holding an envelope as the group of his friends were cheering behind him. The teaser then moved to Daniel while he was performing on the stage while he played his accordion and then it cut to the scene of a producer.
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story
The film narrates Yankovic’s career and life and reflects how he transformed from being a gifted child prodigy to a great musical legend and became a Grammy-Winning artist. The film will chronicle the artist’s affairs with celebrities and how he rose to fame instantly.
Yankovic has been one of the best selling comedy artists of his time and his 2014 release of Mandatory Fun broke the record and achieved the title of the first-ever comedy album to debut on the No.1 Billboard Top 200 Chart. Yankovic has also produced numerous hits including “Smells Like Nirvana,” “Another One Rides the Bus” and White &Nerdy”

The film is said to be an “untold true story” of Yankovic showcasing and documenting his increase in popularism with the release of “Eat It”, “Like a Surgeon” and Yankovic’s “torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle.”

The film also stars Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna, Julianne Nicholson and Toby Huss as Yankovic’s parents and Rainn Wilson as the radio broadcaster Dr Demento.

The film’s script has been co-written by Yankovic and Erick Appel. Erick is also executively producing and directing the biopic.
Back in 2010, Erick Appeal directed the biographical comedy film the same which featured the Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul as Weird Al Yankovic. This film was produced by the Funny or Die production company.
“When my last movie, ‘UHF’, came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork,” Yankovic shared in a statement when this upcoming film was first announced back in January.

The upcoming film which is showcased as a scripted mockumentary, spoofing cliches that run unhampered in self-important biopics has kept the fans intrigued and waiting for its release.
