“Sometimes if we treat people as they’re good, it challenges them to be good.”
Hurray! Serenity will return to Netflix in early 2022. Have you been waiting for official updates for a long period? Well, you’re in luck today. Sweet Magnolias now has a specific release date.
We all enjoyed watching the show because it is spectacular. Sweet Magnolias became popular and won the hearts of millions of people in a short time.
Everything about this show is amazing, from the storyline to the atmosphere and the vibe viewers get white watching it.
The show got renewed for a second season in July 2020 after some time of the premiere of its initial season. Since then, everyone has been anticipating the upcoming season. And now it’s 2022, but there will be no more waiting.
As you all know, Sweet Magnolias contains 3 South Carolina women who have been best friends since childhood as they navigate the challenges of romance, business, and family. Let’s get into the specifics of this piece.
Actually something we all have been waiting for.
Sweet Magnolias Season 2 Is Releasing In No Time
If you assume the release date means you’ll have to wait longer to watch the wonderful show, you’re mistaken. Because Sweet Magnolias is back in no time.
The show’s second season is scheduled to premiere on Friday, February 4, 2022. That means there will be no more waiting; it will be back before we know it.
JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Heather Headley, and Brooke Elliot, the show’s key trio, posted a clip on their separate Instagram pages revealing the official release date of season two.
This season of the show, like the previous season, will have a total of 10 episodes. Be ready to binge-watch it.
Sweet Magnolias Season Two Plot
We’re all aware that the first season of the show wrapped on a massive cliffhanger. However, Netflix recently released an official synopsis of the upcoming season.
“Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue learn who is in the car. But that’s just the first of many surprises that come out of prom night – surprises that reshape relationships all over town.
Friendships flounder. Old loves end and new loves begin. Long-hidden secrets disrupt jobs, change lives, and shift the balance of power in Serenity. Everyone is affected.”
Doesn’t that sound intense? But wait, we’re not done yet.
“But in laughter and loss, the Sweet Magnolias continue to fight for what is right for themselves and the people they love – even when those efforts come with a high price tag. Will they find there are some problems not even margarita night can solve? Come pour it out and find out.”
When asked how the series will approach Kyle’s car accident, JoAnna remained tight-lipped about the details. But highlighted that this is a great milestone in Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue’s friendship.
“I think you see the depths of the realness of our friendship and the history and that we are all raising our children side by side, but we all are on our journeys just naturally as life. You will see all of that,”
‘All Of Us Are Juggling’
“There are so many storylines that Sheryl [J Anderson], our showrunner, and our writing staff laid out, and so many things that you might not be thinking about right now that we will address that will become interesting plot points,” Swisher explained to a source.
“But I think who’s in the car and the stories that are launched because of this are so interesting, too”
Continuing, “Last year, you got to know the characters and laid out the stories, and we really dug into the meat and the potatoes of the three [women], where we are in our lives. Well, this year it’s like, ‘Honey, we’re juggling. All of us are juggling.’ There’s a few more storylines happening to each of us.”
‘We End Season Two Again With A Lot Of Drama’
Swisher also stated something regarding season two’s ending and something about season three.
Swisher stated, “Alongside all of the things that we were met within season one, there’s just a whole new slew of interesting [storylines] that come with season three. Or season two—look at me, I’m manifesting a season three already!”
And finally, she added, “We end season two again with a lot of drama.”
Anderson also mentioned that viewers’ concerns will be addressed in season two.
“Answer all the questions that the viewers have been asking about the car crash, Issac’s parents, Maddie and Coach Cal, all of it”, as well as “asking some new questions too”.
