Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss have called it quitsYeah, you read that right. Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss have decided to go their separate ways just 2 months after the news of their affair saw the light of day. It seems like their love couldn’t pass the test of true love.
On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, a close source spilled the beans on the breakup of Sandoval and Leviss and told Page Six, “Raquel dipped out. Sandoval is not the one for her.” The Messenger was the first to share the news of their split.
While making an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on May 17 after the Vanderpump Rules season 10 finale, Ariana reacted to reports that suggest her ex Tom and co-star Raquel have broken up. She told Andy Cohen, “I don’t buy that at all. She was sending letters to my house like four days ago.”
Right now, Tom and Madix live in the same house but they don’t communicate. Ariana talked about the letter and further added, “I didn’t open it. It was addressed to him and it was her handwriting. I just brought in the mail, saw it, put it on the table and walked away.”
When did the news of Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss’ affair surface?
For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, the news of Tom and Raquel’s affair broke 2 months ago on March 1, 2023, as Ariana who was then in a relationship with Sandoval was supporting him at a concert for his cover band, Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras, at TomTom in West Hollywood.
Prior to the show, the singer had a chat with the media outlet Page Six during which he raved over his girlfriend of nearly 10 years, Ariana Madix. Then, he told the media outlet, “We definitely have our ups and downs, for sure, but I think we’ve been really good about respecting each other.”
The musician went on to say, he and Madix have had “each other’s backs in a reasonable way … within reason.” He also mentioned, “I think it’s just worked, ya know?” Ariana was blindsided by the cheating scandal.
During the season 10 finale of the show, the fans got to see Ariana confront Tom over the cheating scandal before Tom confessed his love to Raquel as they exchanged “I love yous.”
In a confessional, Leviss said, “I was just so curious to know what it would be like to be physical with someone that you love because I already knew I loved him as a friend and I’ve never had sex like that before. I should have completely removed myself from the situation, but I did not have the will power to not see him.”
In March, Ariana used her Instagram Story and she wrote, “When I have felt like I couldn’t even stand, you all have given me the strength to continue and seen me through my darkest hours.”
Madix further added, “To say I have been devastated and broken is an understatement. However, I know that I am not in this alone. So many of my closest friends are also grieving this loss right now and reeling from this betrayal on so many levels. … What doesn’t kill me better run.”

Then, Tom issued an apology on the social media platform Instagram that read, “I want to first and foremost apologize to everyone I’ve hurt through this process. Most of all, I want to apologize to Ariana. I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly.”
He further added, “I can only imagine how devastating this has been for Ariana and everyone around us. I feel really horrible about that. My biggest regret is that I dishonored Ariana. I never meant to disappoint so many people, including our loving families and friends.“
After confessing his “love for Ariana was stronger than any camera could ever have captured,” he claimed that he “owed Ariana better.” Sandoval further added, “I am beyond sad that it ended the way it did. The choices I made hurt so many people. I acted in a way that clashes with who and how I want to be. I will continue to reflect and work on myself. I have work to do. I always have, and I always will.”
In a statement issued to Entertainment Tonight, Raquel said, “There is no excuse, I am not a victim and I must own my actions and I deeply regret hurting Ariana. I am reflecting on my choices, speaking to a counselor and I am learning things about myself such as my patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved.”
The reality TV who later on checked herself into a mental health facility for treatment, in April of 2023 went on to say, “I have sought emotional validation through intimate connections that are not healthy without regard for my own well-being, sometimes negatively affecting others and often prioritizing the intimate connection over my friendships. I am taking steps to understand my behavior and make healthier choices.”
Raquel further added, “Although I chose to be on a reality show accepting the good and bad that comes with it, beyond my own actions I have been physically assaulted, lost friendships, received death threats and hate emails in addition to having had my privacy violated.”
Leviss concluded by saying, “I have begun counseling to end my unhealthy behavioral cycle, learn to set stronger emotional boundaries and learn to protect my mental health. I don’t expect sympathy, understanding or forgiveness.”
