Twilight Star Cam Gigandet’s Wife Files For Divorce From Him

Cam Gigandet, known for his role as James Witherdale in Twilight, seems to be having a difficult time in his personal life as the actor’s wife, Dominique Nicole Geisendorff, has filed for divorce from him.

Cam and Dominique had been Married for 13 Years

Cam had been married to his wife for 13 years. The couple tied the knot in November 2008 after dating for quite some time. Now Dominique has cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason of their separation, as per the official court documents.

Dominique has mentioned the date of separation as May 1. The couple has three children together, 13-year-old Everleigh, 9-year-old Rekker and 6-year-old Armie. Dominique has filed for joint legal and physical custody of the kids.

She is also seeking spousal support from Cam and has also requested the court to prevent him from getting financial support from her.

Cam Starred as the main Antagonist in Twilight

Cam, officially known as Cameron Joslin Gigandet, made his acting debut with a guest appearance in the crime television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He then went on to do recurring roles in many television shows.

The actor shot to fame with his role as James Witherdale, the main antagonist in the first Twilight film. For the film, he ended up winning the ‘Best Fight’ award at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards with Robert Pattinson. He also won the Choice Movie: Villain award at the Teen Choice Awards in the same year.

In 2008, Cam won the award for ‘One to Watch’ at the 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards. In 2009, he starred in the thriller films Pandorum and The Roommate. In 2010, he played Micah, a Christian high school student, in Easy A.

He then went on to star in films like Red Sky, In The Blood, 4 Minute Mile, Broken Vows, The Magnificent Seven, The Shadow Effect, Dangerous Lives, Without Remorse and Last Shoot Out.

Gigandet was Recently seen in Blowback

Cam recently starred as the protagonist Nick in the recent film Blowback. The film follows the story of master thief Nick, who seeks revenge against the former crew that betrayed him and left him for dead.

Talking about his role in the film, he said in an interview, “Good guys are more challenging. Even anti-heroes seem to be more challenging, at least for me. They have to abide by a certain set of rules, and they have to live by a certain code. There are things and principles, whereas, in bad guys, it’s way more fun.”

“They just have a lot more freedom. It’s even easier to justify their certain actions, and part of me maybe lives vicariously through them. I’m like, ‘My god. I would be so good as a bad guy. If I could only be that guy.’ It’s more therapeutic playing bad guys. But the challenge is definitely being a good guy and keeping it fresh and new and interesting,” he added.
