That’s exactly what this piece is about. Especially for those who have been anticipating the upcoming DC movies. You won’t have to go through the process of searching again and again.

We’ve compiled a list of upcoming DC releases. Some of these projects are currently in development, with shooting ending up and trailers set to premiere. We’ll only discuss releases that are in the works or are scheduled to be released in the near future, not those that are mentioned in the calendar. Some of the projects already has a release date & updates.

Upcoming DC Movies 

The list is organized by release date to make it easier for viewers to grasp.

1. The Batman 

Release Date – 4 March 2022 

Released worldwide on the 4th of March 2022, The Batman crossed over $750 million at global box office. The Batman is a new American superhero movie based on the DC Comics character of the same name. In his second year of battling crime, Batman uncovers corruption in Gotham City while confronting the Riddler, a serial killer.

The Batman was supposed to be released in June 2021, however owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, production was pushed back to March to September 2020. For HBO Max, two sequels are in the works, as well as two spin-off television series.

2. DC League of Super-Pets

Release Date – 20 May 2022

The pets of DC superheroes Superman’s dog, Krypto; Batman’s dog, Ace the Bat-Hound; Wonder Woman’s pig; The Flash’s turtle and Green Lantern’s squirrel form a crime-fighting crew of their own. It’s being marketed as a massive summer blockbuster, and it’ll undoubtedly be a one-of-a-kind movie.

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are among the voice actors. The film will be released in theaters in the United States on May 20, 2022. Have we forgotten to mention that this is an animated movie? Jared Stern’s DC League of Super-Pets is a forthcoming American 3D computer-animated superhero comedic action-adventure movie.

3. Black Adam

Release Date – October 21 2022

Dwayne Johnson was attempting to get a Black Adam movie off the ground long before the DCEU was even created, with him appearing in the starring character. On October 21, 2022, Black Adam will be released in the United States.

Johnson and the other producers intended to make numerous Black Adam movies during their “long-term relationship with DC.” Teth-Adam and his origin story will be at the center of the drama, which will eventually set up his conflict with the superhero Shazam.

4. The Flash

Release Date – November 4, 2022

The Flash is a superhero who lives in the future. Allen goes back in time to stop his mother from being murdered, but his actions have unintended consequences. The multiverse of DC Films will be properly established with the release of The Flash. By 2004, a movie based on the Flash was in the works, with several writers and directors associated to the project until 2014.

After that, the movie was reworked as part of the DCEU, with Miller starring as the title character. The Flash is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 4, 2022. Filming began in April 2021 and was completed in October 2021 at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, England.

5. Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom

Release Date – 16 December 2022

James Wan is set to direct the movie. During the development of the first movie, Momoa offered a story for an Aquaman sequel, but Wan refused to expedite the sequel. In January 2019, he consented to manage the sequel’s development, with Johnson-McGoldrick signing on to write the screenplay a month later.

Later, Wan stated that he will be directing the feature, stating that it would expand on the world-building of the first Aquaman. In June 2021, he revealed the sequel’s title, with filming beginning later that month in London. Aquaman rapidly became one of DC’s most great movies, so it’s only reasonable for Warner Bros. to move forward with a sequel.

6. Shazam! Fury Of The Gods

Release Date – 2 June 2023

Shortly after the release of Shazam! in April 2019, a sequel was in the projects, with Gayden returning as a writer. Sandberg and Levi were also scheduled to return in December of that year.

In August 2020, the title and the remainder of the returning cast were confirmed. With Zegler, Mirren, and Liu cast as Atlas’ daughters in early 2021. Filming began in Atlanta, Georgia in May and concluded in August. On June 2, 2023, Shazam! Fury of the Gods will be released in the United States.

7. Wonder Woman 3

In comparison to Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel was officially green-lit on December 27, 2020. Jenkins and Gadot have guaranteed their return, and Warner Bros. has confirmed that the movie will have a regular theatrical release. The plot of Wonder Woman 3 will, according to the director, take place in the present day.

Jenkins admitted to the Happy Sad Confused podcast in December 2020 that she and Geoff Johns have already “beat out an entire story” for a third movie. We all know that the second movie was a big success. Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emerrich revealed at the time that the production company had fast-tracked the third film, and it will also be the final movie of the franchise.

8. Batgirl

Release Date – 2022/2023

In March 2017, it was reported that Joss Whedon would write, direct, and produce a Batgirl movie as part of the DC Extended Universe. Barbara Gordon’s portrayal as Batgirl would be the focus of the movie. Batgirl will be one of the first new DC films to premiere exclusively on HBO Max.

The plot is presently unknown, but Batgirl is set to hit theaters in 2022 or 2023. Since Alicia Silverstone’s portrayal as Batgirl in Batman & Robin in 1997, this film will be the character’s first return to the big screen.

9. Blue Beetle

Release Date – 2022/2023

The first genuine facts regarding the movie were presented at Saturday’s 2021 DC FanDome event. Blue Beetle is the newest DC superhero to make the leap to the big screen, and it’s also the first live-action superhero picture starring a Latinx character directed by a Latinx filmmaker. In either 2022 or 2023, another HBO Max-exclusive film will be released alongside Batgirl.

10. Supergirl

Release Date – 2022/2021

A Supergirl movie has been in the works for a while, but now that Warner Bros. has found the ideal actress to play the character in the DCEU – Sasha Calle – there’s hope that it will be released soon. DC Films wants to release a Supergirl movie in either 2022 or 2023, according to an investor meeting held in 2021. There aren’t many updates for this movie.

11. Zatanna

Release Date – 2022/2023

A Zatanna movie has been in the works for a long time, but production is finally getting underway. Zatanna will be released as part of DC Films’ 2022-2023 slate, which was confirmed in early 2021. The script is being written by Emerald Fennell, but there is no director attached yet.

12. Superman Reboot

Release Date – TBA

Ta-Nehisi Coates is writing the untitled Superman movie, which will feature a Black actor as Superman, though not necessarily as Clark Kent. The movie is a reboot that attempts to recreate the Superman legend. For the first time on the big screen, the movie will include a Black Superman, and Warner Bros. will recruit a Black director.

Aside from these, there are other movies that have been in the works for a long time but have yet to see the light of day. But, for the time being, these movies will be released in 2022/2023. Stay tuned with us for more details on DC’s other future movies.

    How about getting the best director for the job and not force feeding us this woke shit. And getting the best people for the job. Im so over this shit. Now Michael B Jordan will do an awesome job. as long as he ain’t Clark Kent? Calvin Ellis please
    He would have made a great Green Lantern IMO… You know John Stewart who was actually in the comics
