Fans are going bonkers over Taylor Swift’s upcoming “Eras” tour, and why not? The 11-time Grammy-winning artist is returning to the stage after a long hiatus of almost five years. Swifties are now complaining about the Ticketmaster site as it crashed multiple times on Tuesday (Nov. 15) amid a massive surge in demand for presale tickets. As a result, presale dates have been changed.
Historically Unprecedented Demand…
That’s the kind of impact Taylor Swift has on her fans. The reason that the multiple Grammy-winning artist hasn’t toured for years, fans are more eager to watch their favourite singer dazzle on the stage in her upcoming “Eras” tour. On Tuesday (Nov. 15), Ticketmaster faced major technical issues after a massive surge in demand for presale tickets for her new tour.
Initially, the presale date was set to Nov. 15. However, when the tickets went on sale yesterday morning in selected cities, Ticketmaster’s website crashed over 5000 times before 2 p.m. amid an “unprecedented demand” for Taylor Swift.
Ticketmaster initially denied it had any trouble with its site, “the site is not down” and “people are actively purchasing tickets,” but later came forward to address the issue. Many fans complained about being locked out for hours.

Some said they have been waiting “in line” for nearly four hours and still haven’t had the chance to choose tickets.
One fan tweeted, “Sitting in a paused queue for over 2 hours for Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets is my villain origin story.” Usual $60 ‘nosebleed seats’ are reportedly being resold for $700. One fan reported that the resale ticket was priced at $33,750. This means that those holding the tickets have taken due advantage of this crash and the “unprecedented” demand” for Taylor Swift
