‘They Cloned Tyrone’ Trailer Features Modern-Day Comedy With Mind-Bending Aftermath

There are some things in the world which cannot go along. For example, you cannot wear sunscreen in the night time, you cannot bear pineapples on pizza, and you cannot see a good old romantic film getting a sucker remake.

But when you actually think about it, these weird combinations actually make sense on a certain level. You can actually wear sunscreen everywhere, you can occasionally enjoy pineapples on pizza. And a fluked remake can be a good take on your classic favourites.

Just like Juel Taylor’s upcoming series for Netflix. We have had drama comedies, thriller comedies and even period comedies. But this one proves to be a weird sci-fi comedy. The upcoming sci-fi comedy ‘They Cloned Tyrone’ is here with a trailer. Take a look!

Netflix Bringing Thrilling Sci-Fi “They Cloned Tyrone”

The Tudum event for Netflix has unleashed some of the exciting stuff that’s coming our way this year but this one stands out for being one of the weirdest good shows you will see in a while.

The global Tudum festival dropped the first teaser trailer for the upcoming sci-fi comedy, They Cloned Tyrone starring Jamie Foxx, John Boyega and Teyonah Parris. The movie has a really cool genre-bending sci-fi feel to it which is unlike anything you’ve seen before. It’s got that ’70s feel and an awesome trio of characters on the run from the government!

The first shot of the trailer is of the gang silently riding an elevator together. It’s a seemingly uncomfortable situation. The elevator scene immediately sets the tone for what kind of men these gangsters are.

There’s an uneasy silence among them, and we’re led to believe that a trio like this doesn’t really hang out regularly—until Slick pulls out his gun and starts singing “I’m Going Down,”.

The rhythm gets to the lady in the back when she joins in, but hopefully, Fontaine doesn’t budge. Our interpretation of the film til now was that it was a comedy, but we’re suddenly invested in solving a much bigger issue when the elevator doors open.

The three of them stumble onto a sterilized laboratory, where vials and beakers are shaking as if in an earthquake. An unsuspecting lab assistant is caught unaware by Fontaine’s interrogation.

He doesn’t know who or what the intruders might be but feels it’s safer to tell this maniac whatever he wants to hear than risk being killed for knowing too much.

It turns out the trio has been working on a difficult case against the U.S. Government, which is conducting heinous experiments on people, and not just clone bodies.

But Yo-Yo (who is always eager to do something) has found out about another clone body and wants to go public with this information. However, Slick (who is more thoughtful) isn’t letting this go.

When is it releasing?

The big announcement at the global Tudum event introduced us to an enticing trailer. Unfortunately, They Cloned Tyrone has not given a premiere date yet.

They cloned Tyrone is in one of many upcoming collabs of Fox with Netflix including Brad Furman films starring Robert De Niro and Scott Eastwood.
