Lukas Gage Gets Engaged to Boyfriend Chris Appleton
The two have not yet announced their engagement officially; however, multiple sources close to the couple have confirmed that they have indeed exchanged rings. “They’re not telling the public yet, but they have told friends they are engaged. They got engaged before they even had rings and then went to pick them out together,” revealed a source.
“Friends think they are a great couple. Even though they moved very quickly, everyone around them is very excited about their relationship,” he added. Another insider close to Appleton revealed, “Chris has been looking for something real for a long time. This has moved fast, but he is dazzled by Lukas.”
The Couple Started Opening Up About Their Relationship Recently
The duo first sparked dating rumors in February when they went on a vacation to Mexico together and posted photos from the trip on their social media. However, at the time, Gage declined to comment on the rumors. The White Lotus star stated that he was not interested in people’s interpretation of the pictures.
“If they want to think that, they can. I’m a pretty open book about most things in my life, but I have a problem with the culture of everyone needing to know everybody’s business and nothing can be sacred. It’s a weird line that I’m still trying to figure out,” the actor said at the time.
However, a few weeks later, Gage and Appleton started to open up about their relationship in their interviews. On March 10, the two made their red carpet debut together at a Vanity Fair event.
A few days later, Gage talked about his love during his appearance on the Today show and said, “I feel very happy, very lucky and very much in love. He’s a good-looking man. Something about being in London, I got a taste of the Brits and couldn’t help myself.”
Appleton Confirmed his Relationship with Gage on The Drew Barrymore Show
Less than a week after the red carpet appearance, Appleton, who is a stylist for celebs like Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, appeared in an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. When the host asked him about his love life, he replied, “Actually, yeah. Listen, I’m very happy. Very much in love.”
“And I feel very grateful to be able to share my time with someone very special. Love is a really special thing, and I think meeting someone you connect with is really, really special so,” he added. Barrymore then showed a photo of Gage on the screen, to which the hairstylist responded, “That’s Lukas [when we were] in Mexico.”
