It has never been more evident that Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the world’s biggest movie stars, consistently praised and bankable over the years.
He is undoubtedly the only global superstar left in an industry where many interchangeable actors regularly don spandex and brandish a lightsaber for the latest series of films that net billions of dollars, yet audiences rarely notice them outside of their franchises.
It is unique for DiCaprio to sit at the top of the Hollywood pantheon without ever having been involved in the production of a comic book film, family film, or pre-branded franchise, unlike waning megastars such as Will Smith, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert Downey Jr. Essentially, Leo DiCaprio is the franchise itself.
