The finale has been titled ‘All Hands on Deck.’ The show’s sixth season has been the shortest so far, with only 13 episodes in store. In comparison, the previous season comprised 23 episodes.

The Resident Season 6 Episode 13 Preview
Fox has unveiled a preview for the finale episode, which gives a glimpse of how the season will conclude. The promo shows that the episode will majorly focus on the Governor. Not only the politician’s life but the hospital’s future will also be at stake. Watch the preview below.
The official synopsis for the upcoming episode reads, “Conrad is pulled away from celebrating Gigi’s birthday when Sammie comes into Chastain with a 104-degree fever, and Kit must call in a favor for treatment; a heart arrives for Governor Betz’s transplant surgery.”
In the previous episode, we saw AJ and Conrad taking a professional risk to save the governor’s life and the hospital. Meanwhile, Sullivan and Randolph were seen returning to Chastain, and Padma finally started her treatment.
Will the Show Return After Season 6?
With the season 6 finale around the corner, many fans are wondering if a seventh season of The Resident is in the works. Well, as of now, Fox has not announced the renewal of the show. Bur audiences need not worry, as the network usually announces new seasons in the month of May. So we will have to wait for a few months for the official announcement.
Executive producer Amy Holden Jones recently said in an interview that she is hopeful that the show will return. She stated that The Resident has ‘potential to be reinvented over and over and over again,’ adding that the ratings have been good so far.
“We have a very core audience that just loves us, and if we have a chance, I’m sure we will continue to grow. It has the potential to go on and on, but whether it’ll be given that shot, I don’t know. God only knows, at this point. I hope it keeps going,” she added.
