Source Material of The Misfit of Demon King Academy
The anime is based on a web novel of the same name. Shu and Yoshinori Shizuma wrote the web novel series. The chapters were published online on the Shsuka ni Narō web novel in 2017. But later, it received a light novel adaptation with the release of 12 volumes.
What to expect from Season 2?
On Crunchyroll, the show is explained: “Anos Voldigord was a tyrannical Demon King that eradicated humans, spirits, and even the gods, but became bored of eternal warfare and reincarnated with dreams of a peaceful world.”
Anos Voldigord is a long-forgotten demon king who sacrificed himself to create a peaceful world. But after his reincarnation after 2000 years, Anos finds himself to be born into a commoner family with no background of royalty.
From the very beginning, the protagonist faced a lot of discrimination. However, his overpowered magical abilities helped him to become the top student in the class. His ancient magic disrupts the hierarchy system of Anos’s fictional magical world.
The series has a pretty impressive plot and has a lot of potential to reveal more secrets about how Anos’s name is forgotten in their history. The protagonist aims to reclaim his spot as the Demon King. He seeks to punish those who betrayed him during his absence.
In the second season, his journey will continue. The trailer has already hinted at the introduction of many new characters to the plot. The opening theme song is “Seien” by Lenny code fiction. Whereas, the ending theme song is “Esoa” by Momosumomosu. Fans are waiting to see more of the Anos’s journey and their wishes are coming true with The Misfit of Demon King Academy II.
