The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is returning for one last time! Amazon Prime Video has revealed the premiere date for the final season of its hit comedy-drama, which will follow Maisel’s quest to stardom once again.
The release date was announced along with a short teaser, which does not give away anything about the story of the last season. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is one of the most successful shows for Amazon, which has won several awards, including Emmys and Golden Globes.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Final Season Release Date Unveiled with Teaser
The fifth and final season of the show is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 14, 2023, with a three-episode special. The season will then follow a weekly schedule, with new episodes coming out every Friday. The final season is reported to feature nine episodes in total.
The official teaser shows Midge surrounded by cameras and media, who are all taking her pictures as she poses and smiles in a red dress. Meanwhile, a voice in the background keeps screaming, ‘Miriam.’
The official synopsis for the final season reads, “After burning bridges and being cut from tour, Midge Maisel persisted through Season Four, rebuilding her career and reputation. The final moments of the season culminated with Midge leaving Carnegie Hall reinvigorated and ready to weather any blizzard.”

The main cast will be returning to reprise their roles in the final season of the show. These include Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, Alex Borstein as Susie Myerson, Michael Zegen as Joel Maisel, Marin Hinkle as Rose Weissman, and Tony Shalhoub as Abraham “Abe” Weissman.
The show will also star Kevin Pollak as Moishe Maisel, Caroline Aaron as Shirley Maisel, Reid Scott as Gordon Ford, Jason Ralph as Mike Carr, Alfie Fuller as Dinah Rutledge, Milo Ventimiglia, and Kelly Bishop.
The Series has Won Several Accolades
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been able to impress the audience and critics alike ever since its premiere in 2017. Over the years, the series has won 20 Primetime Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, and six Critics Choice Awards.
The show follows the life of a housewife in the late 1950s who ends up becoming a stand-up comic. “In 1958 New York, Midge Maisel’s life is on track – husband, kids, and elegant Yom Kippur dinners in their Upper West Side apartment,” reads the description of the show.
“But when her life takes a surprise turn, she has to quickly decide what else she’s good at – and going from housewife to stand-up comic is a wild choice to everyone but her,” it reads further.
