The story takes place in Exandria. A fictitious universe was developed by Matthew Mercer in 2012. For his personal Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Which was then adapted into the live gameplay online series Critical Role in 2015.
The majority of the story takes place on the continent of Tal’Dorei, in places like Emon’s metropolis and Whitestone’s city-state.

The Legend Of Vox Machina Officially Renewed For A Second Season
After the ending of the first season of ‘The Legend Of Vox Machina,’ it’s understandable to wonder if there will be more seasons of this incredible show. And you’re certainly here to figure it out.
Fortunately, you can finally take a deep breath of relief. Because the second season of ‘The Legend Of Vox Machina’ has already been renewed. And this isn’t surprising given how wonderful the show is.
Amazon renewed the series for a second season in November 2019 itself, ahead of the series premiere.

The first season has twelve episodes. A Kickstarter campaign helped fund ten of the first season’s episodes.

The Legend Of Vox Machina Season 2 Will Consist Of 12-Episodes
Amazon Studios announced in November 2019 that they had obtained the rights to stream to The Legend of Vox Machina.
And for your information, they have requested 14 extra episodes for season one as well as the second season of 12 episodes.
Critical Role’s Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham also spoke about the season two episode count and how delighted they are.
