The Flash is currently in its ninth and final season. The superhero series, which has proved to be one of the most successful shows on The CW, has been entertaining the audience since 2014.

The Flash Season 9 Episode 12: Release Date and Time
The 12th episode of The Flash season 9 will be aired on the CW on Wednesday, May 17th at 8 pm ET / 7 pm CT / 5 pm PT. The episode has been titled ‘A New World, Part Three’. It is written by Jonathan Butler & Sarah Tarkoff and directed by Stefan Pleszczynski. The episode will also be available to stream on The CW app.
The upcoming episode will be the penultimate one in the series. The Flash season 9 is set to feature 13 episodes. The season finale, which will also serve as the series finale, is scheduled to air on May 24th. The final season premiered on February 8th and has been following a weekly schedule ever since apart from a few breaks.
The Flash Season 9 Episode 12: Preview
A small promo for the upcoming episode has been released, which can be checked out below. The CW has also unveiled a synopsis for the episode, which teases what to expect from the storyline.
“Team Flash works together to figure out how to protect Barry, all while being very careful who they trust; Cecile is skeptical of the plan after an unsuccessful attempt; Khione’s confidence in Chester enables him to convince Cecile to try again,” reads the synopsis.
Meanwhile, in the previous episode, Chester discovered traces of cobalt at the location where Barry disappeared, and Mark returned. Allegra was attacked in a cobalt gas attack, leaving Taylor and Aariz injured. Meanwhile, Khione saved them, but their skin turned green.
Khione freed Mark and the crystal disappeared. At the same time, Barry returned, and Iris went into labor. Khione then planned to leave Central City in order to fulfill her duties as a goddess. Malcolm Gilmore, Eddie’s doppelgänger, sought information about him and broke into his grave only to find it empty.
The Flash Season 9 Concludes the Arrowverse
With the conclusion of The Flash, the Arrowverse is also coming to an end. The shared universe featured a number of superhero shows including Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Black Lightning, and Batwoman. The conclusion of the Arrowverse now paves the way for a new DCU by James Gunn and Peter Safran.
