Netflix’s latest offering, The Curse of Bridge Hollow, is being praised as a wholesome family entertainer for the Halloween season. The horror-comedy, directed by Jeff Wadlow, features the adventures of a teenage girl, Sydney, who accidentally unleashes a spirit that brings all the decorations in the city to life.
Sydney then teams up with her father to stop the blood-thirsty decorative figures from wreaking havoc in the city. Apart from the exciting storyline, the film is also being appreciated for the interesting locations that appear throughout its course.
Fans are now wondering where did the filming of The Curse of Bridge Hollow take place. If you, too, have the same question in mind, we have got you covered. The film was extensively shot between October to December 2021 in Georgia and North Carolina. Here are all the locations where the filming happened.
As per reports, the cast and crew of The Curse of Bridge Hollow had set up a camp in Monticello, Georgia to shoot some of the most important scenes of the film. Monticello is the county seat of Jasper County and is located right in its middle. It is also the largest city in the county.
The city is named after the estate of Thomas Jefferson and is known for its historic buildings, including the Monticello Historic District, the Jasper County Courthouse, the Monticello High School, and Thomas Persons Hall.
A major chunk of the film was shot in the city of Atlanta in Georgia. The film’s star, Marlon Wayans, regularly posted photos from the city on his Instagram during the shoot. Atlanta is the capital of Georgia, having the largest population in the state.
The city is situated in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and hence is known for its scenic locations, including beautiful landscapes, lush green forests, and rolling hills, which makes it the perfect location for filming.
Atlanta’s economy has largely been dependent on a number of fields, including aerospace, logistics, finance, information technology, and transportation, but in the last few years, the film and television industry has also contributed significantly to the city’s growth.
Films like Samaritan and Day Shift and Disney+ shows Moon Knight and Loki have also been shot here, apart from The Curse of Bridge Hollow.
Wilmington, North Carolina
Some portions of the film have also been filmed in Wilmington, a city in North Carolina. EUE/Screen Gems Studios are located in the city, which has resulted in the production and shooting of several films and TV shows here. Over the last few years, films like Bolden, Sleepy Hollow, A Walk to Remember, and 28 Days have been filmed in Wilmington.
The city is the county seat of New Hanover County. It is located in the southeastern coastal region of the state and has a number of ports. Wilmington also has a rich history with a number of classic galleries, shops, and restaurants. The place is also famous for its artifacts from the time of WWII.
