Ted Lasso Season 3 Trailer: AFC Richmond Return to the Premier League

After dropping a teaser that gave a glimpse of Ted Lasso season 3, Apple TV+ has now released the official trailer for the upcoming installment of the hit comedy-drama series. The trailer is almost dialog-free but does delve deep into the storyline.

Ted Lasso season 3 will showcase how AFC Richmond pick themselves up after the departure of Nate, while the media continues to predict them as last in the Premier League. Read on to watch the trailer and know more about the upcoming season.

Ted Lasso Season 3 Trailer Features AFC Richmond Struggling After Their Return to Premier League

The trailer is set to the tune of The Rolling Stones’ You Can’t Always Get What You Want. It features AFC Richmond’s return to the Premier League amidst everyone’s prediction and judgment of how they will finish last.

The iconic trio of Ted Lasso, Coach Beard, and Roy Kent work together to get the team back on track. Meanwhile, Nate adjusts to his new position as head coach of West Ham United, the arch-rivals of AFC Richmond. The two teams are also seen clashing in a match, while Lasso suffers a panic attack. Watch the trailer below.

Ted Lasso season 3 will premiere on Apple TV+ on March 15. The season will feature 12 episodes, which will come out weekly on Wednesdays. The season finale is scheduled to be released on May 31.

More About the Upcoming Season

While earlier reports suggested that the third season of the show could be the last one, Apple TV+ has not confirmed the development. The streaming platform has not labelled the season as the final in the trailer or teaser, at least.

The official synopsis of the season reads, “The newly-promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them as last in the Premier League and Nate, now hailed as the “wonder kid,” has gone to work for Rupert at West Ham United. In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy Kent steps up as assistant coach, alongside Beard.”

“Meanwhile, while Ted deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home. Rebecca is focused on defeating Rupert and Keeley navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway.”

The season stars Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, Phil Dunster as Jamie Tartt, Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Nick Mohammed as Nathan “Nate” Shelley.

Apart from starring, Sudeikis has also developed the show along with Brendan Hunt, Bill Lawrence, and Joe Kelly.
