Taylor Swift Becomes the First Artist in History to Claim Entire Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100

Taylor Swift has created history! The pop star has become the first-ever artist to feature on all the top 10 spots of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart in its 64-year history. Swift achieved the feat with the tracks from her latest album, Midnights.

Drake was the previous record holder, with 9 of his songs claiming positions on the top 10 Billboard chart last year. Swift’s song Anti-Hero, which was the first music video to be released from the album, currently sits at the top of the chart.

Taylor Swift Becomes the First Artist in History to Occupy All Top 10 Spots on Billboard Hot 100

Apart from being the first artist to claim all top 10 spots on Billboard Hot 100, Taylor Swift has broken several other records too. Her album, Midnights, which dropped on October 21, managed to reach number 1 on the Billboard 200 albums and had the biggest week among all albums released in the last seven years.

The singer also earned the most titles from the top of the Hot 100 in a single week with her top 10 songs, zooming past Drake and The Beatles, each of whom reached the top five for a week in 2021 and 1964, respectively.

Swift has also become the female artist with the most number of singles in Billboard Hot 100 chart. She surpassed Madonna’s record of 38 tracks, with a cumulative total of 40 tracks in chart history. Overall, she is only behind Drake, who has till now posted 59 songs on the chart.

Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 Rankings

The top position on the chart is acquired by Anti-Hero with 59.7 million streams, 32 million airplay and 13,500 sales. It is followed by Lavender Haze with 41.4 million streams, 2.4 million airplay and 2,800 sales; Maroon with 37.6 million streams, 471,000 airplay and 2,900 sales; Snow on the Beach with 37.2 million streams, 615,000 airplay and 2,600 sales.

On number 5 is Midnight Rain, having 36.9 million streams, 449,000 airplay and 2,200 sales. The next two positions are occupied by Bejeweled, with 35.5 million streams, 1.6 million airplay and 16,100 sales; and Question…? with 31 million streams, 425,000 airplay and 21,400 sales.

You’re on Your Own, Kid occupies the eighth spot with 34.1 million streams, 498,000 airplay and 1,500 sales, Karma is at number 9 with 33 million streams, 1.9 million airplay and 3,400 sales and Vigilante Shit concludes the list with 32.2 million streams, 424,000 airplay and 6,400 sales.

As for the remaining 3 songs of the 13-track Midnights album, reports suggest that all of these songs feature in the top 15 positions, although Billboard is yet to reveal the complete Hot 100 chart.

Taylor Swift has Reached the Top Rank on Billboard Hot 100 for the 9th Time

Anti-Hero marks the ninth track for Swift which has reached the topmost rank on the chart in a span of 10 years. Her single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together remained at number 1 for three weeks in 2012.

Her Billboard success continued with Shake It Off (four weeks in 2014), Blank Space (seven weeks in 2014), Bad Blood (one week in 2015), Look What You Made Me Do (three weeks in 2017), Cardigan (one week in 2020), Willow (one week in 2020), and All Too Well (one week in 2021).
