Even though she expressed her happiness as 2.5 million tickets got sold for her upcoming tour, the “Midnights” artist expressed her disappointment regarding the Ticketmaster chaos. Now, to compensate, Taylor announced additional tour tickets for Verified fans, giving them a second chance to make it to the much-awaited Eras Tour.
A Second Opportunity For Verified Fans…
Taylor Swift previously expressed her disappointment about what went down on the Ticketmaster website last month. The 11-times Grammy-Award winner is touring after a long hiatus of over 5 years, and it’s understandable how much this tour means to her fans.
Providing the verified fans with a second opportunity, the note suggests: “Congratulations, you have been selected to participate in a limited-time opportunity to request to purchase 2 tickets to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. You were selected for this opportunity because you have been identified as a fan who received a boost during the Verified Fan presale but did not purchase tickets.”
The note continues, “We apologized for the difficulties you may have experienced, and have been asked by Taylor’s team to create this additional opportunity for you to purchase tickets.” However, it remains unclear who these lucky fans are and what is the exact number.
But again, these verified fans include those who were locked out for hours when the Ticketmaster site went for a toss due to high demand. These fans have been notified that they could participate in an upcoming sale.

What Happened On Ticketmaster?
According to Ticketmaster, over 2 million tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour were sold on Tuesday (Nov. 15), breaking the record for most single-day sales. This became a major reason for the site to crash over 5000 times on the pre-sale day. The company blamed the chaos on “massive demand” for Swift tickets.
As a result of an “unprecedented demand” for “Eras Tour” tickets, Ticketmaster cancelled the sale of general tickets whilst a statement was released on November, 17. The ticketing company announced that a “planned general sale for all other customers has been cancelled”. At the same time, it also mentioned that over 2 million tickets were sold through the company’s Verified presale on Tuesday (Nov. 15), breaking all records.
Swifties went through some real trouble as Ticketmaster faced major technical issues after a massive surge in demand for presale tickets. The site crashed almost 5000 times, and several fans had to spend long hours in the online waiting room.
Those who spent time in online waiting rooms stormed social media after facing massive issues with the presale ticket process for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Some said they have been waiting “in line” for nearly four hours and still haven’t had the chance to choose tickets.
Now, Taylor is providing a second opportunity to some lucky fans, who would be able to make it to her tour. The “Eras” tour begins on March 18, 2023, at Glendale, AZ, which served as the same venue for her last “Reputation” tour in 2018. The tour will consist of 52 concerts.
