After a long wait of almost two years, Sweet Tooth is finally returning with its second season. The fantasy drama, based on the comic book of the same name by Jeff Lemire, debuted on Netflix in 2021 and impressed the audience with its interesting storyline.

Sweet Tooth Season 2 Release Time on Netflix
The new season of Sweet Tooth will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, April 27th at 12 am PT / 3 am ET. The season will comprise eight episodes, all of which will be dropped together on the streaming platform, so you would not have to wait for weekly releases.
The first season also featured eight episodes, which were released on June 4th, 2021. In the first few weeks of its release, Sweet Tooth was watched by over 60 million households. Looking at the popularity, Netflix decided to renew the series for season 2 just a month later in July 2021.
What will Happen in Sweet Tooth Season 2?
The show revolves around hybrid babies that are born part human, part animal in the middle of a pandemic that has wiped out half of the world’s population. The second season will follow a new wave of the deadly Sick pandemic. Netflix has unveiled a synopsis for the season along with a trailer which you can check out below.
“In Season 2, as a deadly new wave of the Sick bears down, Gus and a band of fellow hybrids are held prisoner by General Abbot and the Last Men. Looking to consolidate power by finding a cure, Abbot uses the children as fodder for the experiments of captive Dr. Aditya Singh, who’s racing to save his infected wife Rani.”
“To protect his friends, Gus agrees to help Dr. Singh, beginning a dark journey into his origins and his mother Birdie’s role in the events leading up to The Great Crumble. Outside the Preserve, Tommy Jepperd and Aimee Eden team up to break the hybrids free, a partnership that will be tested as Jepperd’s secrets come to light.”
“As the revelations of the past threaten the possibility of redemption in the present, Gus and his found family find themselves on a collision course with Abbot and the evil forces that look to wipe them out once and for all.”
Who Stars in Sweet Tooth Season 2?
The new season will star Christian Convery as Gus, Nonso Anozie as Jepperd, Adeel Akhtar as Dr. Singh, Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear, Dania Ramirez as Aimee Eden, Aliza Vellani as Rani Singh, Neil Sandilands as General Abbot, Naledi Murray as Wendy, James Brolin as narrator and Marlon Williams as Johnny Abbot.
Christopher Cooper Jr. and Yonas Kibreab have joined the cast as Teddy Turtle and Finn Fox. Caden Dragomer, Erroll Shand, Craig Hall, and Amie Donald are also reported to be making an entry into the show.
