Remember that cutie from “Life of Pi?” Or maybe you remember him from the Bollywood comedy “Phillauri” where he accidentally marries a ghost played by Anushka Sharma.

Yup, that’s the one! Suraj Sharma will be hitting your television as a regular on CBS’ latest pilot “God Friended Me.”

The drama will be an hour-long procedural show, which means the show follows an episodic format where you don’t need to see the previous episodes to follow such as “Bones,” “Castle” or “NCIS.” “God Friended Me” is written by Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, the same minds behind the show “Alcatraz.” The show is directed by Marcos Siega and produced by Greg Berlanti.

“God Friended Me” stars Brandon Micheal Hall as Miles, a candid atheist who gets a friend request from God and somehow he becomes the catalyst to the changes in the destinies of people around him. His younger sister Ali (Javicia Leslie) honest and encouraging, she is also working on her Ph.D. in psychology. Sharma plays Miles’ best friend, Rakesh Sehgal. Rakesh is described as a likable and funny guy who is a gamer, coder and sometimes even a hacker helping Miles research God’s account.

“God Friended Me” promises to be a light-hearted show that comically looks into faith, existence, and science. We’ll just have to wait and see if the show can engage us in its comedy.
