Succession Season 4 Episode 4: Preview
After the shocking events of episode 3, HBO has released a mid-season trailer for the show, which teases how the storyline will move forward. The clip shows a power struggle between the Waystar Royco board and the Roy children. The family will also have to compete with billionaire tech mogul Lukas Matsson.
Meanwhile, the country is heading toward the presidential elections, and the far-right candidate could further change the dynamics for Waystar Royco. “The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer,” reads the official synopsis of the season.
“The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed,” it reads further.
Succession Season 4: Number of Episodes
The season is all set to feature 10 episodes that began airing on March 26th. This will be the final season of the show, with the season and series finale scheduled to air on May 28th. While Succession will come to an end with season 4, the showrunners have hinted at the development of potential spin-offs for the show.
“This is the muscular season to exhaust all our reserves of interest, and I think there’s some pain in all these characters that’s really strong. But the feeling that there could be something else in an allied world, or allied characters, or some of the same characters — that’s also strong in me,” revealed creator Jesse Armstrong.
The show stars Hiam Abbass as Marcia Roy, Nicholas Braun as Gregory ‘Greg’ Hirsch, Brian Cox as Logan Roy, Kieran Culkin as Roman Roy, Peter Friedman as Frank Vernon, Matthew Macfadyen as Thomas ‘Tom’ Wambsgans, Alan Ruck as Connor Roy, Sarah Snook as Siobhan ‘Shiv’ Roy and Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy.
