‘Stranger Things’ Star Grace Van Dien Alleges Sexual Harassment By Movie Producer On Set

“Stranger Things” star, Grace Van Dien, who plays Chrissy Cunningham on the Netflix hit, is opening up about sexual harassment by a movie producer on the set. Not only this, but the actress has turned down several acting projects due to the bitter incident. Here’s all that Grace revealed on her Twitch stream.

Selective About Upcoming Projects…

Grace Van Dien, who played Chrissy Cunningham on the most reason season of the record-breaking series, “Stranger Things”, opened up about her bitter experience in the industry. In a Twitch stream earlier this week, Van Dien stated that she turned down four movie roles in the last two and a half weeks. She insisted that she would be focussing more on streaming from now on.

“Here’s the thing, I have seen that some people are upset with me for turning down acting projects and deciding to stream more, but the fact of the matter is the last few projects I’ve worked on I didn’t have the best experiences with some of the people I had to work for,” Van Dien said on the stream. In the end, she alleged that a film producer sexually harassed her on a movie set.

What Happened With Grace Van Dien?

Grace Van Dien further explained the situation on her Twitch stream by revealing that a film producer made “unwanted sexual advances” towards her on the set. Without naming anyone, Grace stated: “One of the last movies I did, one of the producers asked me to… like, he hired a girl that he was sleeping with and then he had her ask me to have a threesome with them.”

She continued, “So… that’s my boss. And then I didn’t and I cried and I was so upset. But when people are like, ‘How is streaming better for your mental health?’ That’s how. I get to stay inside my house and play video games and I don’t have my boss asking me to have sex with them.” She concluded that she’s sticking to streaming and hopes to return back to show business, but on her own terms.

As for handling the incident, she stated: “But I handled it the right way. I told my management. My castmate, was there with me and was like, ‘Did I just hear that correctly?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And she was like, ‘Want to go talk a walk?’ I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And we just had a miserable time. We cried a lot on that shoot.”

Grace told her fans, “I’m happy here, and I’m developing my own projects. I’m hoping that someone decides to fund them because then I can be in control of my own set, and I’m not gonna ask my actors to sleep with me.” A few days ago, Grace’s co-star from Stranger Things, Joseph Quinn came forward and spoke about the “disgusting” harassment she faced from trolls, stating that the internet can be a ‘very unforgiving place’.

Apart from Netflix’s hit sci-fi series, Grace has also appeared in “V for Vengeance” and “What Comes Around”, which was selected at the Toronto Film Festival. We wish the star all mental health and peace until she returns back to show business. We hope the culprit is punished soon.
