Congratulations are in order for Sia as the singer has just gotten married. The 47-year-old pop icon tied the knot with her boyfriend Dan Bernard in a lavish but intimate ceremony in Italy over the weekend.
The wedding was a secret affair as it was only attended by six guests. The pictures from the ceremony have now surfaced online, which show the much-in-love couple exchanging vows on their big day. Sia was previously married to Erik Anders Lang from 2014 to 2016.
Sia Gets Married to Boyfriend Dan Bernard in Italy
The ceremony took place at Stefano Dolce and Domenico Gabbana’s Villa Olivetta in Portofino, Italy. Only four people became a part of the celebration apart from the bride and the groom. Sia rocked a lace mermaid gown with a high neck and long sleeves and chose a matching sheer veil.
At the same time, Bernard wore a light-colored tuxedo with a bowtie. The venue featured lavish decor with candles and white, purple, and pink flowers. Villa Olivetta has seen a celebrity wedding last year as well. It is the same place where Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got married in May 2022.
Sia was First Spotted with Dan Bernard in December 2021
It is unclear when Sia and Dan started dating, however, they were first spotted together at the premiere of West Side Story in December 2021. Since then, the two have mostly kept their relationship private and have been seen together only a few times.
Sia finally shared a picture with her boyfriend on Instagram from a Los Angeles Football Club event. “Pride forever! #lgbtqia+ #LAFC #22👀❤️ also just finished my next album! A great day all round!” she wrote at the time.
The Cheap Thrills singer had previously expressed her interest in staying single forever. “I’ve decided to be single for the rest of my life and I just adopted a son, I don’t have time for a relationship,” she said in an interview in January 2020.
The Pop Star was Previously Married to Erik Anders Lang
Sia was previously married to filmmaker Erik Anders Lang. The former couple tied the knot at the singer’s California residence in August 2014 after announcing their engagement in June of the same year. The two decided to go their separate ways in December 2016.
“After much soul searching and consideration, we have made the decision to separate as a couple. We are, however, dedicated to remaining friends. There will be no further comment,” Sia and Erik announced at the time.
The Grammy-winning singer then went on to adopt 18-year-old boys in 2019. Sia revealed that the boys were ‘aging out of the foster care system.’ “They are both finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other,” Sia said at the time.
“But they’re both doing things that are really good for them right now, that are like really helpful. They’re really doing a lot of educational stuff that’s good for them,” she added. However, she later regretted the decision of talking publicly about her children and said, “My job is to protect them and not blab about what’s going on in their lives.”
